  1. Or get him to stick to his contract and sort himself out, and emphasise that we won’t sell him below our valuation for him. And the better he performs, the more suitors he will have who would pay us what we think he is worth.
  2. In fact right now I'd rather we get an underhyped striker who we can pretend to be Wilson's replacement, rather than a young overhyped one like Sesko, which would no doubt start the paid journos off on a deliberate series of speculative tweets again "Newcastle willing to let Isak go after signing his replacement!".
  3. I hope Yasir and the board are reading these tweets, with their faces getting redder and redder with rage with each passing outrageous tweet. Strengthen our resolve not to sell and, even better, not to do Liverpool any favours whatsoever. Buy a good second striker, strengthen everywhere else quickly, tell Isak to get in shape and get his mind sorted (and no promises of a sale next season either, cos of his fuckery). Play whoever shows the most commitment and desire, make him fight for his place. Rooney, Suarez and Kane all had stellar seasons (Rooney for seven more) for their clubs after they tried this tactic and failed. Just show some spine and demonstrate that we are not to be fucked with.
  4. "Unless Newcastle change their stance and contact Liverpool" What the actual fuck? "Erm, yeah, he absolutely doesn't want to play for us, so.....110 million ok?" Fuck off, are we the only club not paying off these vultures?
  5. Easy enough to take a sicknote, which is the "official reason" why he didn't go on the tour.
  6. I hope they infuriate our owners enough to put a "not for sale" sign on Isak and tell the Saudi clubs not to give them money for their castoffs.
  7. Hope this ends up like the Rooney saga. He literally handed in a transfer request to move to Man City. Ended up staying a further seven years at Manure
  8. Coutinho was 105 mil, seven years ago. Florian Wirtz was 116.5 mil this year. Isak is a world-class striker. Even with the player going on strike, we should laugh off anything less than 150 mil.
  9. Lowball bid on a Friday just to stir the pot - proves to everyone that they "mean business". The player in question sees the light at the end of the tunnel and digs in his heels. The weekend lets the atmosphere stew and get more toxic due to their pet journos stirring the pot with the claim that he's told our senior players to FO. Just making sure that his position with us becomes more and more untenable and then return with a 5 mil bump next Friday etc.
  10. Yeah, say what you want about Marinakis, he knows how to be a populist cunt at least. Wish our owners would be more emphatic about us being the Richest Club In The World.
  11. A few of us beating the Nick Woltemade drum since January. As close to being a German Ekitike as possible. He was Munich-bound but it has since fallen through for some reason. "Great feet for a big man" kind of player. Elegant and dribbly and can certainly play as a 9.5 or 10 behind a poacher.

    Yoane Wissa

Only that Shola didn't ever end up scoring the most number of non-penalty goals in the Premier League in any one season.
  13. It's odd that almost every negative thing about the Isak saga can be attributed as originating from him. Can we simply solve the problem by paying him more than Isak's agent and/or Liverpool to say the exact opposite things? "No bids for Isak. Happy to stay at Newcastle Here We Go. BTW I was a cunt in this whole thing."
  14. Which is why Amanda and Merhdad stepping back was the beginning of the slide, IMHO. They had the business acumen, plus a real palpable enthusiasm for the club.
  15. Would RB Leipzig sell Openda and Sesko in the same window? It'd be an interesting cascade - Openda to Villa freeing up Watkins to Manure resulting in Sesko to us.
  16. The club should be outbidding Liverpool/his agent for Romano to put out some counter publicity. Him tweeting “Isak to be offered bumper new deal. Newcastle issues hands-off directive” etc etc. Just for the lols.
  17. All boils down to, as rumoured two days ago, if Yasir is going to be involved in our attempt to convince him to stay. Signing Aaron Ramsdale isn't any sign of "meeting his ambitions" though, tbf.
  18. I take no pleasure in getting a prediction right (though "Howe likes Ramsdale" is practically a meme by now). But hey, he pings balls quite nicely and doesn't panic when a ball is played over the top and/or is pressed aggressively, so there's that.
  19. Also, everyone slating Ashby, when I thought he was....ok? Useful for a cup campaign against third-tier opponents at least.
  20. If Sesko goes to Manchester Reds (because Saudis bought Antony to give them money, of course), then I'd expect we'd put up the not for sale sign. There isn't anyone left with the potential to replace him. And a half-motivated Isak is better than fuck all.
  21. It's 6am England time when he was doing the presser. He recently got off the plane, and held a training session in 32 degree C heat and 70 percent humidity. I'd be in a coma if it were me to be fair.
  22. As long as Aaron Ramsdale is available, Newcastle will be interested.
  23. Yeah, if Parrish could tell us to fuck off when we didn't meet their valuation for Guehi, we could tell anyone who doesn't meet our valuation for Isak to do the same. Guehi played on because he is a pro. And all we can hope for is Isak to remain a pro.
