  1. Signing Paris Saint-Germain's No. 9 is going to be some statement of intent But is PSG not playing/paying him enough? Why would he want to play for us?

Especially when we beat them in a cup final just the past season and ended up three places above them a couple seasons back. Defeatism will only hold us back. If we somehow can fuck PSR off, there’s no question they’d be neck and neck with us every season.
  3. If this falls through, then it means our resolve to keep Isak strengthens. Silver linings and all that. Isak and Wissa for the season whilst our new technical director nerd scours the stats for next season’s “damaged but with a high ceiling” under-the-radar wunderkind, let’s go.
  4. The petty, vindictive part of me half- wishes the Mancs get him, just so we can categorically tell Liverpool to fuck the fuck off, and then we just pay up for Wissa, who deffo wants to join us. Sell Isak next year and target the next striking Wunderkind.
  5. That’s my sense too. Either Sesko plus Isak, or Sesko and 150 million which allows us to sign Wissa and hunt for some CM and CB cover. I am hoping that Sesko + Isak won’t stop our search for these other players, but we’d have to be a bit more clever, loans and such, until Isak is inevitably sold next year to balance the books.
  6. Are PSG, Bayern and the Spanish Classico clubs skint this season? I’d be encouraging them to bid 115 mil and sell him to one of them, bank the cash and laugh at the bin dippers.
  7. My impression is that he built up his great reputation over the past five years precisely so that he can pivot to becoming a rich club mouthpiece for hire. It is horribly blatant this window. My one surprise is that we haven’t paid him to shill our narrative.
  8. I have to reiterate. If an untested midfielder from the Bundesliga is worth 117 million to Liverpool, there should not be any scenario where a world-class, 20+ goal a season Premier League striker, sitting on a three-year contract, at a club belonging to the worlds most wealthy SWF, would only be worth 130 to 140 million. 150 million is low, and that’s because there are no other bidders this season. We should not be bullied into selling below value.

Hope he doesn't throw his toys too far out the pram, in case we actually do sign Sesko and manage to keep hold of Isak. Whilst I feel that there is space for all three of them in our campaign, it'd mean shelling out 66mil + 30/35 mil for Sesko and Wissa, and I have doubts that we'd sign both, keep Isak, and still have money for a CM and a CB.
  10. He ONLY WANTS Bayern.
  11. Fermin, Cunha, Fernandes, and to a certain extent Mbeumo vying for the creative attacking midfield position. That's four naan, Jeremy. Four.

I'd sign Sesko and Wissa, keep Isak and send Osula on loan to a Champo club, tbf.
  13. I can't find any evidence that he even flew in to Newcastle. Just rumours because he was golfing with Trump in Scotland.

Competing on multiple fronts, including the Champions League. Wissa off to the AFCON. All three will get plenty of game time, especially if Howe does the usual 12-month ease-in period for Sesko. We will only see the properly Howe-ed Sesko next season.
  15. The more I read it, the more it sounds like the agent totally bollixing an attempt to make bank off his only valuable asset. I hope Isak sacks him, the hopeless grifter.
  16. So did Yasir fly in last Monday to personally attend to matters or didn't he? Was a rumour after he played golf last weekend but there actually isn't any news.
  17. Don't worry, it'll be "Isak to Liverpool, Here we go!" in a week or so.
  18. That's if you believe that our club's motivation is not just to help our club grow and prosper, but simultaneously to out-muscle and hinder our direct competitors (and clubs above us). i don't think we're at that level yet, alas. If we were up to any cloak-and-dagger elbowing of Liverpool, we'd have followed through with the Ekitike deal rather than let them sign him. Isak is for sale for anyone who meets our valuation. It is just unfortunate that this season, his value is arguably at its peak, yet the only club in for him is Liverpool. Best case scenario is us signing Sesko, keeping Isak, and then wait for next season when Lewandoski and Kane turn into OAPs and need replacing. Liverpool knows this too, so they're trying their best to get Isak now, by hook or by crook (Romano).
  19. If we get Sesko and Wissa both, Isak will be off, IMO. Either one of Sesko or Wissa means Isak stays. In the first scenario, we'd have a decent profit to reinvest on other bodies in CM and CB.
  20. Howe's media training is top-notch. Always says the right thing. Basically "I have nothing for you, but obviously the door is open for Isak should he give up being a CUNT."
  21. If I were the owner, I'd make well sure I'll do everything to keep him here long-term. Sign his buddy Paqueta, get him a new contract, get loads of endorsements etc etc. Take care of the loyal players who have a true affinity with the club.
  22. Waiting for the Romano tweet claiming that Liverpool will sign Sesko unless we let them buy Isak for 110 million pounds (no add-ons).
  23. That’s part of the problem in this current shitshow- no one else seems to be in the picture, so Liverpool thinks they’ve got a free run at him by unsettling him and forcing a sale at a cut-rate price. Next season Kane and Lewandowski getting old, may set off a bidding war which would be good for us, bad for them. No better time for Liverpool to strike than now.
  24. It’s plain to everyone that the benchmark should be Florian Wirtz. If a midfielder from the German league who hasn’t once kicked a ball in the Premier League is worth 116.5 million pounds- then why the fuck do they think a 20+ goal per season striker in the PL, with three years left on his contract, at a club owned by the richest sovereign wealth fund on the planet - would be worth 6.5 million LESS? I won’t be surprised if we told them, as aggressively as possible, to get fucked. Based on the benchmark, even 150 million is too low for Isak.
