  1. Get Luke Edwards to run a piece unsettling Watkins, then. Done and dusted.
  2. Yep, now that Guehi is almost undoubtedly off the table, we need to be linked to another God-botherer, why not.
  3. I hope Isak realises how he's been an utter pawn in a long-drawn saga that has totally derailed our summer and undermined our amazing 24/25 season. All that goodwill he cultivated as part of this incredible squad could've been kept and managed as long as he had just been professional, gone along with the team to our pre-season, and just let the damn boardroom business play out in the background. Now he has spent up all of his credit with the fans, and only strengthened the resolve of our owners not to give in to Liverpool. It wasn't that difficult to keep up the pretense either. He should sack his agent, total shitshow because of his greed.
  4. Probably agent talk to draw out Manure again, who have been linked with him.
  5. Trouble is that it seemed clear at the beginning of the window that we were shopping at the top end of the market - Premiership proven, or if not, the best of Europe. An attempt to break the Sky 6, not to compete with, say, West Ham. Now we've been knocked back and gazumped so many times in three weeks, we're back to West Ham-style signings and hoping Eddie can turn these into world-beaters. I admire and respect our ambition. I just feel sad for Eddie that circumstances haven't permitted us to get him the top-notch players he could've used for a proper campaign at the very top. And he would be blamed if we don't do well this season. Expectations are now very high.
  6. I’d love George here. Problem is that a tricky number 10 is nowadays seen as a bit of a luxury. How would he be deployed in our system, as I’m sure he won’t want to sit on the bench too often.

Have they definitely left the table? Stuttgart were asking 65 million Euros (which is 20 million more than Bayern are prepared to pay). But we could Malick Thiaw overpay for him in this case. As close to a German Ekitike as it gets, very high ceiling.
  8. TBF, "Zho-El-Lin-tohn" is the supposed pronounciation, so the commentator is at least taking a crack at some nomenclatural accuracy.
  9. Wish we'd scout in the Championship more. Hayden Hackney, the "Smoggie Bruno" is just sitting there, not far from here, just ripe for the taking. A very good pickup for any club competing on four fronts.

    Didi Hamman. Abandoned us for......

In fact, what highlights don't often feature is his range of passing. It's actually very good. He pushes up high too, so it's in keeping with Howeball. Ramsdale and Schar and now this lad are all about making our transitions to the forward line quicker, more direct.
  12. A CB and second striker were our top priorities going into the summer and so Thiaw and Wissa will at least allow us to meet our original goals (other than the right wing). Longstaff's departure left us short in CM, but we have Miley, and can risk Hall playing there if really necessary. Yet another striker after Wissa is totally dependent on an Isak sale. If he stays, he plays, even if in the cups against lesser opposition.
  13. The point where they submitted a "formal bid" for Alexander Isak, which was 7 million pounds LESS than an untested Florian Wirtz, was the point where I was convinced that Liverpool was in it just to bully us.
  14. It was "leaked", but only in the past three weeks. Which suggests it was wholly made up to once again paint us in the worst light possible.
  15. Now I'm wondering which of Samu, Jackson, and Kolo Muani they'd take off us at the last minute Maybe even Wissa as an extra "fuck you" on their way out.
  16. Wissa is Wilson's replacement. And solidly reliable enough to bang em in if Isak goes on strike, and yet challenge Isak for top scorer if Isak doesn't go on strike. If Isak is a competitive, aggressive type, he'd need to be challenged. It's a good move, if we manage to get Wissa over the line.
  17. Or for them to buy Samu and be done with the saga. I reckon it's tiring for them too.
  18. I'm all for it, TBF. Everything so far has been Liverpool and Isak using Romano and Ornstein to "wag the dog". We need a counter narrative of our own, even if it's Baldwards.

He is, surprisingly, five months younger than Victor Gyokeres, who the Arse just dropped 60 mil on.

Smokescreen for the Greek lad, I wager. Like Barella was for wor Sandro.
  21. Can your family go over to his family’s house and tell them their son is misbehaving please? And tell them to sort his head out.
  22. Whatever Madrid is comfortable with. Heard they paid 52 million quid for him. And I’m firmly in the Anywhere But Liverpool camp.
  23. Endrick is kicking off at Real Madrid because he lost the Number 9 jersey to Gonzalo Garcia. Offer Madrid Isak for Endrick plus circa 40 million. Everyone wins. We get a Brazilian prospect (that we were linked to once)+ some cash. Real Madrid gets bragging rights over Liverpool and a world class striker. Isak gets to play for a proper top club with a pay raise. We get to snub Liverpool. Endrick gets to play with two of the Brazilian squad who are sound lads. The Brazil national team gets three players in the same club playing together regularly. Liverpool gets to move on.
  24. Substitute Gallagher for Rudoni and it'd be a very tidy window, Isak or no.
  25. Wait it out until Liverpool get impatient and sign, I dunno, Rodrygo (for possibly a bit less). Then shop him around to PSG, as a trade for Kolo Muani or Ramos; or even better Real Madrid, as a trade for Endrick. I like Endrick, and he's going to love the vibe here with Bruno and Big Joe as his mentors.
