As long as our budget is unlimited, you won't see me complaining
-
Yeah, imagine that one Anthony Gordon cost 120 percent of a Bruno Guimaraes. The English tax is insane, like.
-
Can Chelsea hoy in a 70 million bid for Ayari right now? Or do they have to wait until the summer?
-
The exact sum we paid them for Gordon
-
I'd say that if Fulham manage to land Sasa Lukic today, it may clear the way for us. They already have a decent CM selection and Lukic and Berge's attributes are not too dissimilar.
-
Gordon onboard and a possible replacement for Shelvey in, and we could also do either a "pre contract" or a loanback until the summer. He's only 18, I'm not sure how much we'd use him in the run-in anyways.
-
In addition to that, he's still a teenager and doesn't count in the 25 man squad registration either.
-
I really hope nobody takes any of their current unwanted players like Pulisic, Ziyech and Gallagher off their hands. Leave them stuck with a bloated squad that would have to have their contracts bought out or whatever.
-
These days, all I need to do is to Youtube any player and check if I have already watched his "Brazil Scout" video. If I have, then he was linked before. Vitinha - yep, we've been linked
-
I mean, he's not fast fast - but he's not slow either.
-
His turn and burn to set up the Joelinton goal was so silky, a very different energy altogether from Almiron's head-down bursts. Kept looking up too, as he was scoping out who to cross to. Such an intelligent player.

“Bashing wood “ is English for masturbation, and that’s all we’ve been doing the past three pages.
-
Totally expect something out-of-the-blue yet opportunistic now, like getting Weston McKennie or Vlahovic from Juventus now they've been docked points.....or Pogba.

https://insidefutbol.com/2023/01/23/amount-newcastle-united-prepared-to-pay-for-evertons-anthony-gordon-identified/592176/ Newcastle prepared to pay "up to 40 million pounds"
-
If Tory Frank gets the sack, it may well be that Gordon might stay to impress a new manager. Which may or may not be good news for us.
-
https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2023/01/22/using-data-to-find-newcastles-new-winger-five-exciting-options-for-eddie-howe/ A decent bit of research. Kudus’s stats are amazing, but that Tete from Shaktar and now on loan to Lyon looks like a canny under-the-radar pickup if we like another Brazilian.
-
Zaniolo's done his ACL twice in the past three years. Plus he didn't want to leave Italy. He needs a long and gentle bedding in period, and might still end in tears.
-
Mitoma's goal looks like a mirror image of an Almiron banger.
-
After watching us play, every other team seems to be running in slow-mo
-
Trawling Newsnow for transfer-related goss, and have always been tickled by their ridiculously hyperbolic titles, but these two sounded hilariously apt for Gordon. "Newcastle set to enquire about Everton 'star' "; and "Newcastle set to enquire about 'frightening' 50mil attacker, he could be Murphy 2.0"
-
Hold on, was that infamous @oldtypeO-face photo from 2012? Time flies!
-
Other than him walking out on the club, he apparently had a bust-up with Lallana, who saw fit to comment on his attitude. I'm glad we steered well clear - our team harmony is one of the key ingredients to our current success.
-
The way Chelsea are going, they'll end up like Manchester United of the past decade - players treating a big-money move to a Massive Club as the endgame to their career and reputation, and then killing the hunger to win. Fingers crossed.
-
Just waiting for Marcus Thuram, Martin Terrier or Jonathan David to be signed and sealed totally out of the blue now.
-
Some noise about DCL now that Wood has gone. Hopefully just wishful thinking by Everton journos.
