Kinnear and Carver deserve hate, they were both absolutely awful and full of self regard. McClaren is a weird one because he isn't a dinosaur in his methods or anything but just was totally unable to get the squad motivated or together. He was inept and nothing went right but I don't hate him at all really, just useless in the wrong club at the wrong time. Was really weird considering he had more backing than a lot of the other ones.

It is better and it's not like I'd boycott over it but it would be a bit garish and sad and is prefer if they tried everything else first rather than treating stadium name as easy money maker. Not that there's any sign of them acting that way kind.

Would be a bit shocking if they decided to ditch spending sensibly on good young players who improve the squad to adopt the man u model or something

I agree some is necessary but the comercial side has been so underdeveloped for decades there is so so much low hanging fruit the club can do to raise income before it comes to renaming st james park

I must admit as much as I am enjoying this season and the prospect of the immediate future, I am even putting aside the morals a little apprehensive about becoming a soulless super club where everything is a brand tie in and continual 'banter' from every social media orifice (grumble grumble grumble)

God remember when he felt what was most important was dismantling the extremely competent defense Rafa had put together. He comes into the job and smashes up the good bits of what came before and then just eats all the bacon rather than do any other work. The only fucking work he is willing to do is undermine others good work.

And for the record I want players who are desperate to play champions league. We have had low standards for so long, Bruno and Trippier won't settle for doing decent midtable job. Proper winners, but the downside is proper winners aren't going to be overly sentimental. Still please fight all out to keep him, 2 more seasons at the very least...

He will want champions league football. I hope we will be able to refuse any offers this summer coming up but if we aren't there yet season after it will be tempting to cash in if he wants to go. I hope we can convince him to spend a substantial bit of his career here but he isn't here to settle for Europa league. It will be terrible if he does go one day, but the trick will be keep identifying these exciting players and keep building the squad. Ideally his replacement should be in at least a window before he goes.

There is a subsection of media and rabid liverpool fans who are absolutely livid someone would suggest another player may be better suited to a different system than using a TAA who is clearly low on confidence and making a lot of defensive errors. The England thing is insane because clearly Reece James is playing better and has been for some time, Kyle Walker is probably best defensively and Trippier is all round, is a leader on the pitch and also a set piece threat. It's no great mystery why TAA would be a squad member not an automatic starter and yet it is somehow inflated into being a scandal

i honestly think pep is privately really annoyed at having to play haaland, all his fancy tactics and formation tweaks and attacking patterns and it's all basically pointless now just hit it at haaland, if opposition sit deep launch it at haaland, if they push up knock balls behind for haaland he will always be there it's soooo easy I genuinely think he may have gone fuck it lets just have fun and don't care if we concede anymore
