Bruno was not playing as a no 10 for us though, he was playing deeper than for lyon, helping defend with joelinton and still scored more goals for us than he ever did at Lyon. We also greatly need his comfort on the ball and short passing in that area of the pitch as Joelintons not the greatest passer, shelvey can have vision with time but struggles when heavily pressed. I would love us to sign a very competent passing defensively minded midfield to complement bruno and joelinton but joelinton bruno paqueta has a bit of everything too

Injury backup for Digne presumably. Digne is better than Target tbh but does get injured a lot
-
Dreams of psg? please dont sign him even if he comes back to us lol
-
In truth i dont mind it too much, overly formal would be ridiculous but i find a lot of 'banter' that comes out of clubs social media fairly cringe worthy.
-
Ship has sailed on that unfortunately all club communication from all clubs had to be in this forced tone of as if it's a mate talking to you
-
I dunno bruno and joe playing deeper more combative giving him liscence to drift around ahead would be sexy
-
Would he really mind if it was loan with obligation to buy on end of it?
-
Aaah ratboy been a while since last heard of him
-
Hawkeye was what gave the goal though I am not sure I saw a convincing angle showing it over the line hah
-
Really liked Odoi when seen him would be happy with that
-
Can see leicester tbh, Rodgers had a mixed season, they start poorly will seem ideal for getting young squad going and unless he wants to wait a long time for a champions league team it is an attractive project with a patient owner

More goals upfront is very much the priority i would have thought but we do really need another cm who is good at passing. Shelvey, Longstaff and Willock are all pretty poor at recycling ball and keeping posession. We want to get better possession stats we need a 3rd mid. The ideal Tielemans wouldnt come cos he wouldnt be able to displace shelvey is funny. Really doubt it though, been reported he wants european footy and suspect again we are looking abroad cos premier league wages break our wage structure generaly.
-
If we sign players who want to play in europe to get us into europe if we dont match their expectations they will want to move on. Ambition is good, I dont want players not caring how well teh club is doing anymore

I thought Chelsea would win the league last season and they were rubbish so I feel I can't back them again, but yes anything short of competing for the league would be underperformance. They do need to sort out their defense.
-
It's dreadful though, just making it harder and harder to compete for clubs that aren't super rich. Kinda nice to be on the side of the can afford to keep up for once lol but it's dreadful for the sport
-
Will be on wages above our current structure which is why we are still shopping abroad largely.
-
Seen Shelvey long enough to know he has a purple patch then lets you down.
-
Yeah think just first stage done so quickly, sure i read that somewhere. What is the timeframe for the new training ground though?
-
As I understand it the plan is by start of season but I don't know if that is everything or just the core facilities to be back online
-
I would love a technically proficient midfielder (eriksen would be ace but still think he'll end up at man u or something) who can help keep posession and control games, its something we lack. I have doubts we will get a right winger and a striker, I think more likely we'll got a right winger who can play striker if needed

I am wondering with comment on him playing with Burn is Howe is thinking of shifting to his old 3-4-3 so Pope Schar Botman Burn Trips Bruno Joelinton Target New RW Wilson ASM In posession Burn might push up as he did play left back for Brighton to create overloads and compensate for ASM not doing much pressing. My concern with this would be midfield obviously good with them two, where this works you might want a forward who can drop back when needed and link up with midfield but Wilson is not that type

I mean 5 subs next season watch Chris swap out entire front line at 70 minutes will be ridiculous
-
He's just slow it's taken him all day to walk to the pitch for the photos
