  1. It's the attracting players imo they can still get them but pay a premium, wouldn't shock me if the griezman deal was dependent on qualification
  2. Don't greatly rate mark Hughes, may be worth a shot Rafa could do well with him
  3. Don't be silly it's a tremendously difficult job selling a player from one club who receive an absolute bucket load of money to a club that obviously really really wants. The amount of money is totally fair especially since he's unlikely to survive the mountains of cocaine he had to get through.
  4. or maybe he just didnt understand football? he won't be the first chairman to f*** it up, look close to home, and nationally look at Blackburn. whatever you thought of Ashley we are in a healthy position NOW, yes he failed many times with crap appointments and many will never trust him but do you seriously think he wants us to fail? really? the vast majority of chairmans want the club to make money, period, Ashley is the same but lets give him a bit of credit now ... £80 million he sanctioned to SM and co recently £50 million to Rafa and more to come so whatever his stupid meddling with daft stuff at the club got us all riled with he is NOW attempting to put it right. Rafa is here, he's staying, Ashley is gonna back this manager again NOW and is slowly learning that football up here is not just about business, its passion. i for one hated Ashley at one point but the bloke is turning it around when so many clubs are run by tossers, credit where it's f***ing due i say As much as it'd be nice to believe people can change, this is just nutty. Ashley is a wanker and he's not going to become a saintly owner over night, indeed he has a history of ruining things jsut when stuff is looking up. Almost certainly he has made the decision that considering Sports Directs reputation being drawn through the mud of late he wants some good publicity from a football club enjoying some sun. He isn't investing any money in transfers he's just letting the club run itself on it's own incomings so it's little skin off his back. He will one day come back with renaming the stadium, sticking joe kinnear back or something. He has not had some see the light moment of genius, he maybe has adapted his strategy as a smart enough businessman like but I will never trust him unless we can look back on 3 or 4 years of solid investment, support and fan-centric decision making. Then maybe. ANYWAY. I am hugely happy at teh state of the club right now and didn't want to be this negative, it's all looking good and I'm enjoying it and looking forward to next season
  5. Ashley is still a cancer on this club and can't help feel he will sabotage this all at some point. But come on back in premier league with rafa wooooo gotta enjoy these moments while they're here
  6. While it would be lovely for someone to pile loads of money into us I don't think it's exactly super negative for us to spend what the club makes from TV and sales. Any further investment remember Ashley would chalk down as debt he'd expect anyone buying the club to pay off. We know he's no philanthropist, this is about the best we could hope for, and if the figures are ok for Rafa they are ok for me.
  7. You are right to be fair. I wonder if we'll get one £30m big signing and 4 £10m ones or something
  8. Not to be a downer (not about this at all) but £70m isn't a huge amount these days, I mean John Stones went for £50m and he's shit
  9. Bit more cynically ashley has probably calculated his brand has been dragged through the mud enough and just wants to be associated with more positivity
  10. Agree completely about Rafa if backed sticking around, when you've managed real Madrid you're unlikely to get seduced by West hams shit mega stadium. He likes us because it's a long term project, he doesn't need a quick reputation boost stay at a club like koeman at Southampton
  11. Imagine receiving a CV through the door 'hmmmm, rafael benitez? doesn't ring a bell, what has he done?'
  12. I'd prefer that too but kinda want to reinforce in a fair few other areas before get to second players in positions.
  13. Earned a shot to stay with us, still want another winger mind
  14. Bit unprofessional but also think it's a bit natural after celebrating promotion, which is a huge achievement for them there would be some drop off, course it's going to be a little harder to heave it back to defence in the 88th minute once the main job is done. There are fine margins and while it's poor I don't think it's overly bad
  15. Maybe he just really hates his family
  16. thought Yedlin looked fine for premier league tbh not a player worried about replacing tbh
  17. Ashley doesn't think there is value in January and we shouldn't expect to sign anyone unless we are in relegation zone then imo (not that I approve)
  18. This is all going too well, slightly worried now is when trump starts the nuclear war
  19. Won't be long until he headbutts someone or makes a rape joke don't worry

We could hire a second plane to tow a banner insulting the first plane/banner. Isn't there only one plane that ever does it? Someone on here I think saying it's actually a complicated thing attaching the banner

The f***, that would be utterly disgusting and disgraceful Eh? Thought it was in support of sufferers? Not sure disgusting and disgraceful cap fits like What is it saying exactly? Something about cancer has no colours. United by cancer divided by leagues. Please no. Oh god, that's terrible, just donate the money for it to cancer charity or something.
