Think he'll be fine, been a bit dodgy of late but just needs to keep clocking on the experience as said above.

I dunno if his performances this year would really attract too much interest. I'd probably take a good profit on him considering how inconsistent he has been but would be pretty bittersweet. There is some player in him that if could only produce every game would easily be premier league quality but he's had more than enough time to do that and hasn't...

I think the reason is if a team comes down from premier league there's a reason they have come down, they are s*** and it's hard to do the turn around that quickly. There's also a lot of totally pointless teams happy to finish mid table and occasionally threaten the playoffs who will suddenly turn up to get a scalp if you're promotion favourite so you face a lot of extra motivated teams with chips on their shoulders wanting to rough you up a bit. I think mid table boring premier league teams like west brom or such struggle when they come down because they don't change mentality from the premier league accept a fair few loses and get 40 points mainly at home to you have to get every single point you possibly can. Rafa more than anything has made sure we have collected points even when not playing great. If our home form had been where it should have been we'd already be celebrating promotion imo.

Would be chuffed with a CB with some experience. Considering the cost of a good CB these days though would be shocked if £12 if everton are sniffing as well.

What's the budget though, could well be given full control but has to raise the money from sales (doubt it cos doubt benitez would give assurances he'll stay if he's not given funds). I also just fear him handing a list to the human thumb and him failing miserably at getting them

I can't see them coming straight back up again either, they pay too high wages to keep much of the team and don't know if they can afford to buy their way back to the top. They don't have saleable assets like we did, best case scenario may be they do a Villa who may at least be in a decent position to get promoted next season

Obviously great for the goal but in second half they started getting a lot of joy down his side, he was being bypassed and Anita was being doubled up on too much. Not a huge criticism as nothing came of it in end and he's generally been diligent, he just doesn't seem quite fast enough to get back and cover on a counter.

Was terrible. I thought he wasn't having the worst game as usual for a while, nothing great but successfully passed a ball aggressively into space. Just the once of course but was useful. Then he was pathetic in a challenge and gave them a decent chance. Back to usual.

Didn't impose himself at all today which was the cause of us being pretty poor imo. Needs to improve.
