  1. Should have accepted a packet of crisps for the two of them. In his first year for Everton Lukaku scored 16 goals, then the next year 20 then the year after 25. While he may not be Aguero he is still only 23 and is improving. Ludicrous to call him anything other than one of the best strikers in the premier league before he's even reached his prime. Yes his touch is questionable which may stop him being truly top class, but he's guaranteed goals at very high level and Everton should be demanding a hefty fee for him. Stones clearly has loads and loads of potential, Martinez has made him go backwards though. (I do agree that the amount of money some clubs has seems to have made them get incredibly lazy with scouting, there will be better value, albeit higher risk elsewhere) How has Martinez made Stones go backwards when he was the one that brought him forward in the PL? That gave him a chance? Can't coach defending though. In fairness under any other manager Stones would've been dropped long before he was He did get dropped quite a lot last season. He basically looked mint when fresh from reserves coaching and then declined. I honestly would probably dissmiss him except for a few games I saw where it was absolutely clear he had twice the technical ability of anyone around him. His head needs sorting though and Martinez has not helped him.
  2. Simply put, there's no reason we can't win any game, if the players start shrugging off draws against midtable teams or something we're in trouble.
  3. I sort of agree, I was winding up a Leeds fan at work claiming we're going to walk the league, but if we're cocky it's easy to get stuck in the quagmire. I do think though it's got to be a new mentality, we have to combat complacency sure but we also should expect to get promoted automatically, and to do that the players need to go to every game knowing they should win if they play their game.

You guys lack ambition, I'm claiming the Moon for Newcastle
  7. No way to treat a kid that, also one reason imo not to give important shirts to players too young cos then this sort of crap happens

Good, as long as the next sponsor isn't isis or something
  10. more goals from midfield needed but otherwise reasonably happy. Got options upfront of pace, trickery and power. Hope Mitro finds his confidence in front of goal. Maybe our best option is finding a brain donor for shelvey
  11. Yep I agree could do with a midfielder who can pass
  12. That's what I read it as
  13. Gary Lineker used to be invisible for England as well until he scored. Didn't play in midfield or on the wings though
  14. He couldn't be arsed with playing for a s*** team scraping around the bottom of the league. Nothing more to it than that. I hoped it was that for a while, but he barely tried half the time, and could turn it on now and then for the tv cameras. I defended him a little as season progressed but now looking back clear as day as to what was going on. He'll probably do well if he goes to Liverpool, but when it counts he's a coward.
  15. Don't know why that's so bad
  16. I suppose the worst thing is it validates the career move of getting into the premier league by signing for a club in the bottom half, just laze around and enjoy your wages fora season, you only have to turn up to play for 2 or 3 televised games and bang you can get a big money move. Pathetic
  17. Good riddance, heartless prick
  18. Poor guy, I wish all our mercenary cunts had been as professional as he was. Very good player.
  19. Thanking his lucky stars he didn't sign for Sunderland presumably
  20. His transfer targets are the laziest in the world
  21. I was wondering why everyone found that quite so funny, somehow forgot I hadn't clarified which one
  22. To be fair I meant C*** Ronaldo, didn't dream I met our Ronaldo but that makes it funnier
