Mount is young, english talent in a clownshow of a club. Absolutely no problem at that price, wages seem a bit much but very good signing for Man U imo, and how on earth are Chelsea letting him go? Madness

I've softened a little on him, but only a little, purely on ok that season finishing 5th was a decent accomplishment albeit the squad was good. He was self absorbed, lazy and became just another apologist for the regime but I just don't think under Ashley we would ever get any better than that. I do think under Rafa for a precious final 6 months we were better than we ever were under Pardew but the league was harder and the players worse. I also remember that half way through that one good season I was fuming at Pardew, thought we'd never achieve anything and then things suddenly seemed to click and we went on a ridiculous run. Time passing just meant all the visceral annoyance is gone, but still loath the likes of Kinnear and Carver. (Not including Bruce cos recent enough anger hasn't subsided but he is surely the actual nadir)

Should i pay more attention to the general chat section, i never really bother

Yeah howe says he joins in but usually loses badly or something

I honestly wonder if the plan is to build a super modern impressive training complex with a decent sized stadium for the women's team, then play there while rebuild happens. Puts it all years and years off in the future but may be sensible.
-
I would be happy for st james to be demolished and rebuilt, i would want it to be distinctive in design, but I am really against it being moved. No idea waht we'd do in the meantime of the rebuild mind. Moving it from atop the hill though to me is a horrible idea. It's the heart and soul of the city.

Helps being subsidized by our taxes lol

Burn clearly can be upgraded but is invaluable for being able to ably play left back or centre back and a leader, he doesn't seem dumb enough to think more talented left backs won't come in ahead of him and that he will still be invaluable and the fans will still love him. He will continue to live the dream Having said that it is always harsh to judge a full back for struggling against one of the leagues best players. Saka will cause the best problems.

Toon-ali Toon-ali sport washing oooover us

How about we just build our commercial revenue up so we can spend like the others. It protects us if saudi arabia lose interest or get banned for some reason if or club actually generates it's own income

I know the whole i am true football fan and completely clueless about football lol

This is not too defend romano transfer journalism is all kinda a waste of time but i love how some journos report on a bit of rumour so get mocked for getting things wildly wrong then when one reports when something is confirmed and nearly done they get called tap in merchant. You want someone who can accurately predict transfers from afar? Consult a psychic, transfers are only near confirmed just before they happen

Don't agree either, sunderlands team did play some decent stuff for the division hendrick had absolutely nothing about him here, wouldn't be surprised if championship is too good for him too

Just watched the highlights this morning, we should be beating North Macedona 7-0 so nothing to get excited about but Saka's second was pretty special. On Southgate I can see both sides, but I am not sure on the alternatives. Potter is going to stay linked I think despite his reputation being a bit tarnished, but I think he would need a lot of time with the players you don't get in international duty, and then I don't particularly like his style of play either, it's just as dull. Can Southgate win something by just being a lovely man? He is way too over fond of Maguire which is baffling somewhat. He has certainly got the team all in great spirit and togetherness and there is value in that. I just wonder if he needs to be there for the vibes and hire someone to do all the tactics for him.

Are they collecting forwards who do everything but score?

It's a forum joke to post Worrying under anything and everything especially if it's not really worrying. Worrying

Wasnt the kicking the ball into his own face after he moved into defensive mid, or shortly? It was embarassing like but seem to remember he bossed that game and felt oh well he's just not a goal scorer, though that seems to have changed too, amazing what a bit of confidence can do

Clear attempt to copy the Arteta thing lol I can imagine city hoovering up very promising coaching talent who may otherwise be already managing teams to be fair

last year i was round york and there was this woman with a banner up outside york minster where there was some event on and i thought oh great going to be some nutter spouting hate or something but she was protesting the minster holding a gin festival, which while impacts me not at all was the first time saw one of those protesters and thought you know what if i was christian and profoundly attached to the minster as a holyplace i can understand her point of view on that somewhat

With the proviso that bit daft considering our owners, but putting on rainbow laces and saying pride a lot is the easy bit, not employing active homophobes is a low bar we should reach. Very disappointed in all if this goes through.
-
The scum who did it shouldn't be called fans of any team, just human garbage. One hopes they will face real life repercussions but unfortunately probably not.

Gotta love PSG apparently being shocked that player who causes transfer drama every window is now causing a transfer drama

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

In fairness it is also how Brighton attract all their talent, come to us we will look after you will then won't fight too hard to keep you after you've been in shop window for a while
