Holland were so bad this tournament. So so bad.

I suspect they're saying newcastle is a depressed area in terms of the economy and it's translating as sad.

I'm not seriously prefering London to Newcastle lol, London's a hell hole

Could well be a bargaining position, pretend to walk away because of all the stupid agent crap so they sort it out

Ibra is a odd mix of huge muscular centre forward and skillfull number 9 and has been for Milan the kind of player who would win Milan games when they're playing poorly by being capable of fashioning chances out of nothing. He is an example of a big strong player also being immensely skillfull as well. He does seem to have something holding him back from universal acclaim, is he capable of playing with another striker? Most the time seems given freedom to wander rather than fit in with a system, and not sure he does his defensive work, largely I think he gives off the impression that he is bigger than the team and as such along with ronaldo will get slagged off a lot, however he is also a lot more entertaining than Ronaldo off the field...

Tired considerably late on should have been subbed off early in second half imo, while he was lively though have no complaints.

I agree but milner was so dire...Ox on right and Young on left despire him being poor too? Hmm

Next match for me, mixing what I'd like to see and what we all know it will be (two banks of four with gerrard and parker in mid) usual backline Walcott Gerrard Parker Ox Rooney Welbeck Rooney will give us much better midfield presence with him dropping deep so that takes some of the woe of that central mid partnership away. Carroll played well for me so wouldn't mind his inclusion against teams where the backline can be bullied.

I wonder if Pulis looks at england squads and thinks "that's the squad I want to assemble, only when they're 5 years older"

If you see a player and suddenly feel sexually excited that's him

That ball is now pregnant

Young was shit too, much worse than when Roy had him as a no 10, was awful defensively and didn't do much going forwards. Carroll did well, diminished a lot later in game though. Welbeck was good, not much convinced by his build up play but seems a natural finisher. Walcott was good coming on, but I can see the logic in him coming on as a sub against tired legs rather than starting, though that logic is diminished somewhat by Milner as the alternative. Central midfield was poor too, couldn't keep the ball at all, and defence standard shambles. It will never happen but I'd switch out Baines for Cole, who had a quiet game, and Baines is probably the best crosser of the ball we have, and would probably get more goals out of Carroll than Gerrard imo.

Fair point. Same goes for Nolan I suppose
-
Oh yeah no idea how he'd adapt to premier league, wasn't unreasonable but wow!
-
Remember when we lost Barton and we were all bit unsure if Cabaye was adequate replacement
-
Ba saying how good friends he is with Ben Arfa and Cabaye, hope that group of friends keeps them all here. (Didn't mention Cisse there though, weren't they meant to be friends when Cisse joined?)

I'd be very happy to keep tiote as he seems well liked in the dressing room and would rather not disrupt things, he had a worse second season but without injury he should have a better second season. On the other hand also think he probably is the most reasonable of our 'star' players to cash in on, a second poor season and other clubs may notice and his value could drop, we may well be able to get more than one player better than him with good scouting for how much we could sell him for. Of all the players we may lose, least bothered by tiote (as long as planned ahead and replacements brought in) would prefer still to keep the squad together but expect ashley wants to sell someone to bring in new people.
