  1. to be fair dagliesh has tried 3 at the back with liverpool, just when he was playing very negatively
  2. i love the idea of having a manager instilling good football for year getting players used to quick attacking football and then appointing steve bruce
  3. He'd be a good choice especially if the rumours that there's no more money to splash out are true. Wouldn't necessarily be brilliant, but would get them playing good stuff, however also will require patience that the fans won't have. It's probably no great risk for Martinez, disaster at Liverpool can easily be blamed on Stuart Downing

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Nasri is one of those players who wants to roam and have a free role but isn't good enough. Imo could be a good player if told to stick to a flank. Don't think he's good enough to be a proper playmaker like he wants to be.
  5. I could kind of understand if his goal ratio for us was a one off but he has scored a s*** load his whole career. Since ACN he has been shifted out of position, we have got possibly an even better goalscorer to target and despite barely a handful of bad games he has been good even if not scoring. His confidence did start to look shot towards the end and he couldn't seem to do anything but there is no way we should get rid or not be bothered if he does go. He is a very, very good forward and will be a lot harder to replace than some believe imo. This. I was watching some of his goals for us, people seem to forget just how great his eye for the goal was, he could terrorize any defense. Great player, who apparently when playing badly shockingly gets upset... I'd be very annoyed to lost him, even if it is a bit of a drogba situation where he needs to be a the main man to score, he'd be great in rotation and as a sub. He probably wants his options open but doesn't mean he is going, I hope he doesn't. Also his goal against Man U cannot get enough love.
  6. I'd be very keen on Moses actually, not sure why just like the look of him (when wigan are playing well I suppose)
  7. soz, we'll write his life story into Bob Dylan's 'Hurricane', all 9 minutes of it, to sing at games. to be fair that would be epic
  8. Does Hoilett work hard enough? Suspicous Pards would have less patience than with Ben Arfa
  9. he looks like a extremely smiley estate agent
  10. Oh he's very good but if a club doesn't play to his style he won't achieve much (see Liverpool) and generally there isn't much demand for players like that at champions league level unless they're brilliant like Drogba. Yet to see that from Carroll
  11. 4-3-3 specialist player seems. some good passing on there, can't tell yet if good, but like signing technical players, less hoofball next season please
  12. Colo's not like Andy Carroll though, he's a class act and would do well anywhere.
  13. Pretty much how it ended up with Papisse "he's still struggling to settle in" Cisse though

    Alan Pardew

One has to wonder if the real reason we didn't get Cisse last summer was Ashley didn't trust pards with big singings yet. Cabaye and Ba probably convinced him lol.
  15. God I much prefer that to the "I want to have a new adventure somewhere" or "I really believe in the ethos of the club" etc etc
  16. It was when he turned up in full KKK outfit that the owners knew they had to sack him
  17. I'm way more excited than if it was someone I knew about
  18. Great step up for the lad, league 2 to premier league. Hope he makes it.
  19. Woooooo hope he's good, bit old to just be a prospect, but not league tested so I guess rotation squad player? That said could turn out to be brilliant somehow
  20. Not sure how he'd fit in at Madrid though.
  21. I reckon if Liverpool had just sent him on holiday when his goal drought started, and he didn't get into that rhythm of messing up game after game after game that killed his confidence so badly he may well have come back brighter. That said do think there is something to say for it not just being a confidence thing, his speed has maybe dropped and he may have been one of those players who peaked earlier than most, and like Owen without his pace there's not enough of a footballer there to adapt. Anyway enough Torres talk, there's a lot of talk in the press about us going for Mark Davies from Bolton, is he actually any good?
