  1. I have a suspicion Ben Arfa will do absolutely nothing till one game will suddenly score a hat trick
  2. The trick I think will be to play through middle and force them into fouling us. The less we let them play in our half the less threat they pose from set pieces, and honestly think we should be good enough to minimise that. They hopefully will be slow on teh counter when we are vulnerable, and we have goals in us at the moment. I do think they could well beat us though
  3. you don't really need 5 reasons do you good new players old players playing well positive tactics and approach
  4. i'd prefer Best to Ben Arfa to start to be honest on form. Ben Arfa's not ready yet it seems.
  5. Dodged a bullet there, Alex McLeish's teams are just so dull
  6. I doubt we would drop outside of the top 10 if we lose the next 5 anyway tbh, we've got to be realistic about the next 5 games though and we're unlikely to pick up many points at all and in the same games last season we only picked up 1 point, it's just how the fixtures have it we've got these 5 tough games on the bounce. Yep,I'll be disappointed if we don't finish top 7 though and i'll be a bit anxious if we fall too far away from that. We're clearly capable imo. I'll be disappointed if we don't finish top 7 if squad stays fit, will understand if we fall further though if we're hit by some injuries to crucial players

Nile Ranger will have turned up at 10am and pretended he only thought he was going to be 1 hour late
  8. Luiz would make a fine defensive midfielder I think, liability as a centre-back seems

    Alan Pardew

You think he's a bastard for lack of gifting his own money to the club? Entitled much? Owners in long term come and go, and reliant on individuals to fund club is a bad idea should they lose interest. Personally apart from unwilling to refund the Carroll money back into players and pretending he was going to, financially Ashley has been alright. I want our club to be on solid ground so that should he go personally bankrupt we operate in profit healthily etc. When it comes to decisions to do with the football Ashley has often been completely fucking useless. He's basically the opposite of Kenwright at Everton, he's got the money and put us in a solid position financially, but has got the caretaking of the football untill recently wrong. Pardew has been fine so far and would like it if he stayed long enough to get a real project going. One of the incentives to attracting players here should be that we're on the up with a proper project going. I don't trust Ashley to not fuck that right up.
  12. The trick will be to conceed as few free kicks as possible and holding it in midfield as best we can. We should be able to play it through their midfield with competance. Just hope Cabaye turns up, despite the goals (obviously love another) needs to get his passing game spot on
  13. Liverpool's North East Scout hardly has to do hard work does he? Just probably reads local papers, APPARENTLY THAT HENDERSON IS GOOD!
  14. Need to start better than against Wigan, this starting slowly habit needs to be nipped now before it becomes a regular thing
  15. You really wouldn't know he was a footballer
  16. Next time we sign someone noone had heard of for £4m everyone will go batshit! (Though must be said playing for league winners in France hardly counts as that obscure).
  17. Oh fuck that attitude, if we beat blackburn, let's go into the quarters play some good footy, if we get dumped out by a Man U trying to take the sting out of a league fast evading them then so be it. It's not great for prospect of winning it, but getting knocked out by a crap Blackburn team would be sad, not going out kicking and screaming against Man U
  18. http://twitter.com/#!/joncarterESPN/status/128598074888171520 Balotelli never disappoints
  19. Tiote might be seen as a liability in Europe since getting booked is easier, and Tiote does accumulate yellows in English footy with ease...
