What is it with Merseyside clubs and getting a free pass for spending. I know they ultimately have to generate their income and have with big sales of players but saw an article praising Liverpool for apparently doing so well over the last few years with apparently little spending...hmmmmmmm. I am happy to give them really clever spending, Salah cost ultimately a fraction of what Man City throw around for overrated players like Grealish but they did spend £75m on a defender. The point is they have spent a load of money but generally until recently spent it very well, and no they don't have unlimited funds but they aren't some fairytale poor club. Equally just heard on podcast about Everton drawing at Man City, and then mentioned alongside Brentford also getting good results (won't have included last night) and Everton were mentioned as the one with meagre resources??? THey do now cos they spent like total loons, that's why their squad is so bad! If I were a Brentford fan I'd be fuming to be compared as if they are the richer!

HOWE OUT lolol. Oh well, onwards

I agree a bit but on the other Leeds whole game is manic pressing to induce defensive mistakes, they haven't good enough players to create chances themselves so ASM may be a bit unnecessary risk? He will certainly do damage on counter if needed from bench.
-
Not unfair! Howe will know best just thought this may be opportunity to have a bit of a tweak.
-
Should be better looking at the players too. Lopetegui may be a success but they have naff all too them right now

I mean this is where it kinda gets stupid in that it was down by his body (but did deflect definitely off his hand), equally he was jumping so arm down the side isnt actually arguably a 'natural' position for it to be there. I can sort of agree that a ball ricocheting off a hand into the goal should just be disallowed, it's when it's a penalty the punishment is wildly ott at other end of the pitch sometimes

Disallowed for handball

Can't argue, but one day, when we are in Europe, Howe is going to have to learn how to rotate a winning squad. very minor criticism but with arsenal in a few days feel this was a slight opportunity
-
It just boggles me how Man U have spent so much money and yet have some really glaring problems in several positions on the pitch still, even a stopped clock you would have thought would have made a few more sensible signings...
-
How could they fail to now the mighty Fred is on the pitch

Lopetegui looks like a college professor with a hip record collection in the 70s hosting a shindig but is secretly just a massive perv on his students

Getting his customary injury scare in earlier than usual
-
Yeah hard to imagine he's not sacked soon

Mini Bruno seems unconcerned mega bruno is about to eat a massive cake face first or something

West Ham are weird, they have been excellent last few seasons despite expectations, something has completely unbalanced them. Maybe reversion to the norm, maybe some players were over performing, but also Rice now has to be involved with everything and a bit of me thinks they were better when he was defensice mid and Soucek was the one that wenf forward, the latter now drops deep to allow Rice to go forward and England's golden boy isn't actually as good. For the record I think Rice is excellent at many things but wonder if it's gone to his head somewhat.

Just seen the second Faes own goal hahahahaha, the first funny but basically unfortunate. The second, what the hell hahaha

TAA is excellent, and i don't buy that he can suddenly become a midfielder, he plays and knows a position. But the idea that there's some linear this right back is better than this right back is complete nonsense. If you want a right back who can put in crosses, there's probably none better. If you want a right back who can defend Tripps is excellent (as has been Walker). A fit Reece James feels arguably preferable too seemed to have less total defensive lapses. But because he plays for liverpool he has to have a total wank fest about him rather than a reasonable discussion of his actual attributes. He is a mighty fine player, and if England wanted to go all out attack a fine choice for england right back, and it perfectly fine for liverpool to want to play that way. But the idea that it is easy to make him ranked better than Tripps? Hmmm. Hmmmm.

Christ do you need to get the lawyers in??? And yes i guess all dignity has gone out the window, what a cunt

i am a bit sus of Tielemans but he has scored some crazy goals and been huge in past so will trust in our team if that is true (not sure it is, and not sure leicester would entertain strengthening us so much) but say it happens it does give us some exciting options so against a team we should beat we can field (assuming we keep with 4-3-3 which is fine by me) ASM Wilson/Isak Miggy Maddison Tielemans Bruno or Maddison Wilson/Isak Miggy Bruno Joelinton Tielemans against a difficult team we need to do some containing Big Joe Wilson/Isak Miggy Maddison Tielemans Bruno Suddenly there are a lot of options basically would be exciting, equally if Isak is an option on right as well gives us chance to rotate out Miggy but that assumes Isak ever isn't injured

It's amazing how the transfer has already been declared a masterstroke when they've just signed someone who did ok at the world cup. Now I am sure he is highly rated for a reason and may well do very well, but been plenty of highly rated flops too, I don't think other teams should be crushed in disappointment they didn't get him. (watch him be better than Salah now)
-
Indeed, it's not that he's wrong it's just he's not at a poor club who can't afford to compete, in his brain he thinks he's at Brighton himself or something
-
I know I've been trying to achieve this but I keep having to actually do things

Picking Nick Pope above Allison and Ederson haha although he does draw the line at picking dan burn ahead of thiago silva
