I've said it before and I've said it again, I absolutely do not want us to move St James Park. It is the most perfectly placed stadium in the country. If I had my way I would knock down all the crap new buildings going up around it as well. It is to me brilliant that it is visible from the rest of the town up on the hill. I am all for rebuilding it, and if a small move I would consider it.

No sense going into a window saying WE'RE GONNA SPEND LOADS, £30m will be added to every price tag. It's an expensive window though for sure wouldn't shock me if there wasn't anything major

He had that sometimes, but also often if he was out for a while it seemed to take him a while to get up to speed and cut out the reckless tackles. I completely agree Howe has made him better but man I used to rave about the lejeune lascelles schar backline (and Schar scored a few worldies as well then) as much better than the rest of our team. I was skeptical he could play in a 4 particularly one pressing high but he has proved me wrong on that, but he was always one of our most technically gifted players and an absolute steal for the price we got him
-
I would agree he liked best in a 3 but in that system schar was mint not having this rewriting history that schar was rubbish until Howe spotted him cabbagehead didn't know what to do with him. Howe may have improved him still but that's nonsense him, lejeune and lascelles was best backline for a long time up till then

Grealish is good, I think it's a shame he went to Man City to be a peripheral part of a machine, nothing wrong with that, great teams need cogs, but when he was the main man as aston villa looked more fun for him and more fun for fans. He is quality but I also think Foden is substantially better than him, as you can see him as being an essential part of City at their best and getting the goals and assists, whereas Grealish is struggling in similar role. I get the feeling Foden is more direct, and better footballing brain knowing where to be, whereas Grealish wants to do everything which can be detrimental in a team like City with a really clear system. In England will work better tbh.

Schar is great, and I've said it before and will say it again, that cabbagehead wasted 2 years of his prime career is criminal. It was absolutely clear under Rafa what a class act he is. As great as Botman is (and he is great) it's not like he's overshadowing Schar at all.

That's just so fucking sad. As much as I laugh at their misfortune I do actually respect they've always had a strong working class socialist tradition among supporters, those left from that must be so fucking depressed that now it's just traded on that that used to be the case and this shit goes on. They will sing racist songs they want and also take moral high ground against the mags lololol
-
thoughts with his family of course

Almost all streaming football services are shit compared to it, like if you're watching premier league with now tv cant do anything, can do some with bts player but it doesnt work very welll at all. I guess they don't want it so easy to rewind and record for uploading but still i remember bbc had thhis all for a world cup then didn't have it all for a euros and womens euros and was a bit weird why they turn it off and on
-
didn't beat france by himself, failed to rip mbappe's legs off waste of money
-
Saw a journalist saying he heard from a source close to the ruling qataris that they are hugely regretting holding the world cup, see it as a $200billion waste of money that has only made them look terrible when before they were the quietly rich neighbours of the big bad saudi arabia who made them seem with comparison as more modern and progressive and now the whole world saw them bribe their way to a world cup, are cruel to their workers and really hate the gays and they just wish it could all go away but have to sit it out and do it now. Haha. If true proof that sportswashing doesn't have to work...

Yes, I think in any corner scramble if you watch in slow-mo all the players, someone is going to be fouling someone.
-
I used to think at least it was getting decisions right in the end but no longer think that it is still causing nonsense same as before and just detracting from the game. It needs to be ditched I think, or some way cut back, it should only be interrupting the game for absolutely glaringly wrong decisions, not interrupting for stuff so minor there is no way on earth it is visible to the naked eye. Anything where the VAR ref isn't sure immediately should jsut be left to what in cricket is umpires call.
-
Not to defend our twatish owners whataboutery, it's hardly the greatest sin, just as her wearing the armband is positive but not the bravest thing in the world either really, just a nice gesture. I do actually think people should have second thoughts holidaying in these places if they have moral qualms about it all really, but again, hardly cause for inciting anger on social media that will no doubt be horrendous while pretending to be progressive.
-
Am I alone in thinking as soon as you're grabbing shirt like that you are liable to give away a pen? Maguire should have had a pen certainly, VAR is not consistent and should be scrapped, but you can't expect anything different. We should not be conceding 2 against Iran either, obviously played well but too careless. Probably comes from lack of prep time mind. Will need to do better against teams that don't let in a load of goals
-
I would certainly have played Foden ahead of Sterling (but not going to complain too much, Sterling has been reliably excellent for us), I am unconvinced about him playing a deeper role, has he ever done that for Man City? Even so England midfield is going to be deeper than man city midfield...

Catts for me like

I would argue spain developed a strong identity as a national team and stuck to it and then built their success around core of players in that style. Italy yes strong club coach but also more pragmatic more good at managing egos. And then they imploded in qualifying regardless. I would be more than willing to give Potter a chance at it, and wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong (I think i over egged the pudding in my original post tbh) but I do think he'd be a slightly odd fit. If he got it with scope and authority to shape that's how England play and to get in squad you need to fit in could work with time too.

I saw it reported there was no suggestion Toney betted on his own games or was involved in match fixing, which I thought were the kind of things you would think a lifetime ban was for, would have thought it would be closer to Barton or Tripps punishment, albeit that is a lot of offences...

just popped up in my youtube recommendations (fuck you youtube)"LIVE: Full Christiano Ronaldo Interview Part 1" IF IT'S PART 1 IT'S NOT THE FULL FUCKING INTERVIEW IS IT
-
Why would he want to play in the euopa league mainly?
-
It was quite funny how they were trying to coax stories out of him about crazy behavior and it's clear Trippier went to Spurs, saw Walker ahead of him in position and immediately was super professional ever since. One of them was aaaw you gotta have something greasy after winning and Trippier just looked like why on earth would i ever eat anything like that

The premier league wouldn't let it pass because of the damage the piracy issue was causing to the value of the brand and their ability to sell it in the middle east. The premier league only cares about money, once that was cleared they waved it through. My objection is not now and never will be that the premier league didn't apply their own rules correctly, I think it is fundamentally wrong for football clubs to be owned by nation states to be soft power political footballs to kick around. It's just wrong the same way lots of thing are wrong that just are and we can't always really avoid them all the time like pornography and birmingham.
