  1. nowt we didn't have an inkling of. interesting final line in that piece as it says that he will have no say in where he goes. Bizzarre. I saw that too. Surely he can't be forced to sign for somebody? You cant unless we would force him and theres no way in hell we would force someone to sign for 7m even then how could we force him, we couldn't force xisco or alan smith, what chance have we with someone who'd have a good choice of suitors. Not quite the same tbf, Xisco and Smith dont have a release clause and no one is going to pay more than 50k for Smith or Xisco.... while people will pay a lot more than what we currently offer Ba. We could force him if we wanted to considering the circumstances but we are not going to for that price. how could we force him out ? Lets just say the clause dont exist hypothetically..... if a team offered 30m ( ignore the craziness of it all) and we accepted it dont you think its highly likely even if Ba wanted to stay we would force him out due to how much money was on the table? We could a force a player out if we wanted to and the money on the table is crazy enough but we wont even consider doing that for 7m. if the player wasn't offered better terms he could quite probably say "f*** you, i'm stopping", players have all the power these days. it's easier for a player to force the club into selling than for the club to force the player into moving. i'll ask again, how would the club go about forcing him out ? Good point tbf but i cant see a scenario where if a club offered ridiculous money for Ba that we would be able to offer them better terms.... I am saying if a club is offering better terms and silly money to us and even if Ba wanted to stay i reckon we would try and force the move through just due to the amount of money involved.... one could argue that is what happened with Carroll. Ba could be forced to move on if the circumstances are right but we wouldnt do it for 7m.

  5. Top 4 will be City, Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal in some random order i really dont see anyone breaking into it.... Liverpool and Spurs will either stagnate or go backwards and we will try and solidify our status as a top 6 team ( and i believe we will be successful) and Everton will crop up the rear as far as top 8 goes.
  6. Also Porto get massive fees from everyone they are just masters at it as are Benfica.... doesnt mean the player is overpaid or overrated though.... just means the buying club are stupid. Another thing Anderson was a talent when he was younger.... not his fault that Fergie turned a AM until a holding midfielder. I can see why someone would pay that sort of money for Anderson because he was talented but why someone would take that talent and suck it from him and turn him to a clogger DM is beyond me.
  7. Tbf Bebe was'nt overrated it was just a terrible choice by a manager who saw some clips on someone in a homeless world cup and decided to play 8m for him.... He was just trash, quite a lot of flops actually the reason foreigners are coming over now and having success more often than not is because clubs are signing higher quality instead of the average shit people use to buy. In theory Hulk should succeed at Chelsea tbh, but i would have concerns about Chelsea's defence in a attacking system and the midfield that covers that defence. As of right now looking at possible Chelsea line ups it looks very imbalanced.
  8. He only played in this country on loan....

  10. M'vila and Ribery are not unquestionable starters? King Shola your thinking of Menez lol.... Mexes is the CB.
  11. I reckon that's exactly what will happen though.... i have to think the main reason he went there was rodgers and can really see him changing his mind. Would love to see him here but considering the priority will be the defence i doubt we have the finance to pull off such a transfer.
  12. Tbh i find the idea of Henderson being a professional footballer offensive.
  13. Yep, while Lampard has proven once he got older that he does have discipline to sit deep and spray passes for the good of the team.... he's technically a better player than Gerrard which is probably why he has dealt with getting older than Gerrard has who tbh has always relied on his physical tools now he has lost them he seems to be struggling to adapt. Lampard is by far our best CM and quite frankly without him our chances of success just get smaller.

    Alan Pardew

Never even thought of that but would be a cracking replacement if it were to happen one day....
  15. Not with the way we plan to play IMO and Lampard has proven this season he can play deep in a counter attacking system and seems to have dealt with getting older a lot better than Gerrard has. Gerrard looks cack everytime i see him play as a CM in the last couple of years and personally dont trust him there if he's going to play ( i dont think he should though) then he has to play AM. But he probably will play CM so we will have to deal with it.
  16. Should be a decent test, hoping to see more of Ben Arfa and Cabaye
  17. Tbf it was due to lack of characters allowed and i tried to delete some of it and clicked enter at the same time The mere fact i work in server maintenance makes this even more embarassing

  19. I would'nt say he's like Silva though..... he's alot quicker and more direct and tries to cut open defenses with through balls and scores a lot more. I'd argue he's more like Cesc Fabregas than any other AM out there..... maybe a little quicker and better technically though.
  20. And even Zola considering the job he had to do could be argued had relative success.....
  21. If he is 23 or under the club in question gets compensation fee usually decided by a tribunal..... same thing with Hoilett at Blackburn actually.
  22. And casual porn dont forget the porn !
  23. Just made some changes and picked some players that i believe will almost certainly start and my defence is full of fullbacks now
