I actually prefer Obertan to Taylor because his pace put teams on the back foot and afraid to push up too far because of it and we look better as a team because of it...... Would obviously prefer Ben Arfa, but seeing as that seems to be impossible ill go with Obertan over Taylor.

It's not that he's bad, its that with him and Colo as the CB's its too easy to get in behind they dont compliment each other at all. I think he would do a decent job in a deep defensive line or with a fast CB next to him. Also he's good enough back up but currently he's first choice due to injuries and not having enough CB's so his flaws are highlighted more.

If Pardew does'nt consider him a winger then he's done for iam afraid........ the only other formation that could fit him in what Pardew believes his best role and play 2 strikers is a 4-3-1-2 and the more study this system the more i realise that such a system would never work in England due to a lack of width.
