  1. So do I, I don't see him starting as we will be wary of Spurs midfield (and rightly so) but to replace one of the front two or if we are comfortable a winger it would be a boost. My main concern is nothing to do with Ben Arfa but more than Shola will start over Cisse. Personally i think its more likely we will start with Perch-Guthrie-Gosling than Ba-Shola, with Pardew i wouldnt be surprised at the same time tho.
  2. Johnson is good but extremely inconsistent for my liking, id rather put my trust in Ox long term as i think he has the capability to be more consistent and IMO more talented..... He will definitely be around the squad but starter in 2 years time? unless he leaves City iam not seeing it. I like Messi's team and its more realistic for the Euro's than my team is BTW speaking about Johnson, another Johnson ( Glen) has impressed me greatly recently and not just at RB either at LB aswell maybe he's the answer to Cole long term. Never thought id say that even 6 months ago.
  3. I probably agree, my post was mainly seen as the long term but not necessarily on just the Euros but having said that Cole would'nt be there but quite frankly i cant think of any LB...... Infact id put Cole in a wheelchair over the likes of Baines and Gibbs, hoping for the countries sake that someone comes along and proves the likes of me wrong...... As the Euro's go i question who from that team would be ready..... Jones and Smalling are not ready imo and neither is Ox as great as he's done so far i question whether he's ready for the very top level..... Obviously there are question marks of Wilshere and Cleverly's fitness. I personally would right off the Euro's totally, and just build for 2014 and beyond.
  4. Goalscorers are pointless at international level because they dont participate in the build up and you just get outmatched in midfield. Not all goalscorers but the one likes Bent and Hernandez are pointless. I'd go with Hart Richards Smalling Jones Cole Wilshere Parker Cleverly Sturridge Rooney Ox Form and fitness permitting ofcourse, btw dont rate Cahill and Cole will be very difficult to replace long term; quite frankly dont see anyone ready to step into his rather large shoes. BTW Jones hasnt impressed me that much either but i dont rate anyone below Smalling and Jones, the quality of CB's are poor imo.
  5. Also makes Tottenham look bad because they beat Arsenal and took 4 points from 6 against Liverpool
  6. You have jinxed it now seriously tho i agree nowadays i always feel confident going into games that we will get atleast a draw i dont know why i just do and i get the feeling the team does aswell.....
  7. Then it's......Hart, Walker, Dawson, Ferdinand, Cole, Walcott, Parker ©, Milner, Lennon, Rooney, Crouch/Defoe Got to make space for Joe Cole and Carrick, proper players they are, Harry's known them since they were 12. Also, tough call between Walker and Glen Johnson. 'Triffic lads and all that.
  8. He was excellent against Liverpool tbf. Might have played tomorrow even if Kaboul was fit. Think if Kaboul was fit as he's been outstanding this season, he would have come back in King's place just to prevent anymore injuries. People have already said Monday to Saturday is about as much as King can handle.
  9. VDV and Kaboul is out you say ? thats good meaning they are forced to play Modric further forward where isnt nowhere near as effective and Parker and Livermore in midfield which IMO we can match..... Kaboul IMO is miles better than Dawson so thats good aswell, would have liked Lennon out aswell but Santon can deal with him Or are you pulling mind games, only for them all to start
  10. Mole_Toonfan

    Papiss Cissé

I'll take that lol, what an awesome lad.
  11. I was bored of it 10 mins after the story broke tbh.
  12. Implies only Colo, Jonas and Krul will be playing tbh, shame tbh because i thought with 11 players we had a chance.
  13. Hopefully Perch and Gosling Hopefully Perch? We'll bloody need him man. Rather Abeid. I know he's only played once but I don't believe for a minute he's any worse than Perch and probably already better. Perch has been great for the last two games IMO, we wouldnt have won without him against Blackburn and he was solid against Villa. IMO he's the best we have for that role atm, we cant ask Abeid to be thrown in that deep end like that. Ok he might have had a decent game against Blackburn in the cup but he hasnt played since, it would be stupid to drop Perch who has done everything asked of him in last of couple games because you dont like him lol. It's obvious Abeid has a future but seriously what as he done so far to suggest he deserves to start?
  14. Lee Ryder @lee_ryder Sources in Cardiff claiming they are close to a loan move for Haris Vuckic #nufc #ccfc Thoughts? If it is true ofcourse, iam in two minds about it tbh on one hand it would good for him to get a run of games and get some experience but on the other hand iam worried about the squad depth as it is.
  15. Quite frankly F.A. can pick who ever they want aslong they stay the f*ck away from Pardew, last thing we need is another manager change ffs. Club > Country for me these days would much rather see my club win a trophy than my country. Oh if he reinstated Terry i would laugh my f*cking ass off, what a bloody farce that would be.
  16. Based on? I am assuming he wants him to help Simpson and double up on Bale. Who was on the right at SJP ? because Bale was pretty non effective (i do recall he got injured) Yh he was extremely non-effective and nah the injury was last year....... According to ESPN, Obertan was on the right, quite frankly i expect him to get the nod again.
  17. Sammy was'nt kidding about the banter in regards to raylor was he
  18. OMFG, i hope he recovers as quickly as possible
  19. Yh me too, now that is impossible for Cheik to get back for the Tottenham game, he has my full support and then he comes back with the confidence that winning a trophy will provide and help us finish in the top 6
  20. I dont want him rushed, as enticing as it may seem....... Get him fit and ready for next season, there is not much he can do at this stage now anyways and iam sure his injury problems are down to him being constantly rushed...... Give him time to get fit and ready and we could have a great player on our hands( from the short snippets i have seen) .
  21. I assume you think Ba will go? otherwise i dont see the sense in splashing out on another striker........ Definitely agree with Ketsbaia, definitely need a back up to Tiote none of moving Cabaye there or playing Perch as the first back up crap....... What i want to see is all the best players staying........ CB, DM , FB, Winger and will have a squad to compete on all fronts imo, barring a crisis.
  22. I know some people are against the diamond because of past experiences, but tbh Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux and HBA are a little bit better than....... Guthrie, Barton, Nolan and Geremi Plus we have a better defence and forward line now, i think it can work aslong as we have 2 quality fullbacks and we have one in Santon...... Also it could quite easily fall back into a 4-4-2 as Marveaux and HBA have played alot of the career as wingers..... But i would'nt even think about using such a system until Simpson is replaced with someone of higher quality because fullbacks are quite important in such a system.
  23. Based on? I am assuming he wants him to help Simpson and double up on Bale.
  24. Let the haters hate, quite frankly if we win on Saturday i couldnt give two shits what everyone else thinks....... Let them think what they want to think we will be 5 points off 3rd
