The squad thing is a massive excuse and a poor one at that we have a better squad than anyone outside the top 6 and should be winning games like this. The issue is Pardew does not have a clue tactically at the moment or to get us to defend and attack as a unit effectively atm. He nailed it for 7 games but since then we have been awful.

I do remember that and quite frankly that's not the part that surprises me as we have tampered with it a few times..... The Marveaux in the midfield 3 alongside Tiote and Anita is the part that would surprise me. I wouldn't actually mind trying to experiment with a system like that even if we don't have the fullbacks to really get it work to it's fullest potential at the moment. 3 in midfield = more control, Hatem with a free role = more freedom and closer to goal, Ba and Cisse up front but not really restricting the rest of the team. It seems like something that would work, as long as we actually pass the ball anyway but as i said i highly doubt we would use it.

These discussions are strangely similar to the ones on this forum just before the winning streak and change of system last season. In fact the quotes from Pardew are also strangely familiar. Would be great if the Swansea game can be the Norwich (H) of this season.
