I'm not doing it right if i don't have haters That's what he is tbf and quite frankly that's what i thought he was bought for so we could play a possession game more effectively and stop horror shows like Fulham away. He's someone who fits into the cog of a team but not the difference maker and if we actually stick to a possession game with 3 midfielders ( regardless of system ) we would probably see that in the long term. I always thought the plan was Tiote the destoyer, Anita the deep playmaker just distrubuting the ball around Cabaye ahead as the goal threat advanced playmaker of sorts. Maybe it will be in the long term but at the moment we are far away from that.

First Half thoughts: Midfield has been far too passive and my pre game concerns about all them being too defensive and not being able to play an attacking role effectively has come to light and wide forwards ( sammy and obertan have been too ineffective for my liking) and have been outshone by their respective fullbacks.

I was talking about that last night, bit of a concern with Bigi and Anita from an attacking sense but hey they have not been given license to get forward as of yet maybe they can play further forward too. Quite important that at least one of them play's the Cabaye role. -

DAT Bench -
He was when we was playing Raylor at LB but Santon has improved to the stage where he does not need a body guard holding his hand. I personally would rather see Ferguson given a go in the coming weeks as we are far too ineffective down that side.

I do think it's a good idea to give Sammy a go, maybe Obertan should still play but instead of one of the strikers but oh well it's a good line up none the less. The only thing i'm concerned about is if we play with Tiote-Anita-Bigi then at least one of them needs to be playing ahead of the ball and not behind it. Can't have 3 midfielders sitting back like they usually would. -

If we are going to play with those 3 then Anita or Bigi needs to be allowed freedom to get forward like Cabaye is. -
Good player from what i have seen and heard, seems the next mint Colombian to come through. My question is how the f*ck do they do it every f*cking year. Scouting, relatively similar cultures and lax work permit laws. He's hardly a raw diamond like, been banging them in 1 in 2 throughout his career according to Wiki. Aye and i'm sort of showing my ignorance with south american club football

I use that 3-4-3 on Fifa lol although it's more of a 3-4-1-2. Although it isn't a flat back 3 as Anita is slightly in front of the two CB's who split. Also agree with the whole flexible and dynamic set up mantra when we used 4-3-3 at the end of the year it usually changed on the fly depending on where the attackers were moving. And as you say with Anita dropping back the fullbacks could push on and Cabaye could drop back alongside Tiote and Ben Arfa move closer to the front 2. You would hope so in the long term anyway, also the reason Barca's 3-4-3 didnt work because of how ridiculously narrow it was and how Alves was part of the back 3 () 3-4-3 can work if you have width as teams like Napoli have shown with the personnel we have it would be a lot more width based than Barca's was.

If we wasn't going to pick Simpson i'd like to see Tavernier given a go, with Cisse on the right albeit quite narrow it would be nice to have a RB who is providing some width. -

Honestly we should play it short and restart play every time, there's probably more chance of making chances that way. -
