I know Chelsea spent a shat load of money, but they do have weaknesses and quite frankly its just as likely to all blow up in their faces as it is they are likely to be quality. Also something that cannot be underestimated is the continuity we have under Pards and keeping all the players, sometimes just keeping all your stars is more important than having a big turnover of players. Still hope we sign at least one more though, but having said that i still think and expect us to have a good season mainly because the team that started this season is a lot worse( might seem a bit harsh )than the one that started this season. Cisse, Ben Arfa, Santon all have started the season this time and Anita has come in as well as Saylor and Marveaux ( touch wood) being fit now. Lots of reasons to be optimistic that we can improve on last year.

The whole thing just stinks imo, fair play to Spurs though they have done f*cking well there.

the defense needs quality, and the attack needs quantity. Completely agree with that and i'm sure in the long run if we can keep our best players and just 2 or 3 quality additions each summer that's what we will see. Although it is a bit two-pronged thought because one of the players i want to the defence will add to the attack too which is why it's so important. Oh well, lets see what the next 10 days brings up if we get some extra quality in then great but if we don't then we still have the players who finished 5th last year.

I'm more concerned about the defence than the midfield or the attack personally, not sure if i'm alone with that line of thinking though.
