Yes, but if we don't need the benefit in this 3rd season of a rolling 3 year period, we may as well get in the 3 next sets of rolling seasons. So if we got a fee now, it would feature as the 3rd year of the season ending 2024...and by all accounts we're ok so would be "unnecessary" profit in that 3 years. By deferring to August, would you get the benefit in: year 3 of 3 year period ending 2025 Year 2 of 3 year period ending 2026 Year 3 of3 year period ending 2027 I think

Defers revenue to next year maybe? If we're not buying anyone and have nailed FFP for the last 3 years, then there is no benefit to additional revenue in this period.

Some of our fans didn't deserve Champions league. Was clearly ahead of any targets last year and the squad has struggled as a result of the increased games (plus Tonali and Barnes unforeseen circumstances). Yeah it's messed this season up a bit, but fuck me I enjoyed it

Foul or not (he was holding Isaks shirt which for me is always a foul) surely Isak out-muscled Ballard to the point he fell over as he couldn't hold him back
  6. Apart from the odd spell we were pretty grim today and some of the basics just weren't there. We're extremely easy to play through and very weak when teams counter (NFFC really highlighted this and continued today). I'm not particularly upset about it in the overall scheme of the project/team (I'll avoid all other football content for a day or so as per usual when we lose ) and appreciate we still have work to do - Howe certainly has some areas he needs to focus on but love him and the team. I feel we're still in the early phases of setting the foundations and need another season or 2 to build up the squad to compete. Last year set some high expectations but I always thought this season would be a struggle. Hall doesn't seem to be fully trusted and these "misses" in the transfer windows hit us hard compared to other teams who have had years to build a proper squad. Fucking hate losing to Liverpool mind you, especially like that
  7. I'm sure he has to the club and Howe etc. I don't particularly feel the need for a PR driven open letter to us fans but I wouldn't be surprised if one pops up at some point.
  8. Diaz hands all over the Luton defender to climb above him....no other way to jump and happens every single game. JLs looks worse as Gabriel was already bending/on the way down so hands were on his back. Its just not THAT contentious a decision...

    Nick Pope

Already said in the match thread that I reckon the punch was fair considering the wet conditions and was coming into a crowd. However, having watched it back the ball ends up near Bruno, Gordon and the Wolves player. Gordon seemingly sets off leaving/hoping Bruno wins it back and we'd have been 3 on 3 on the break. I reckon it was something we work on and unfortunately didn't come off but no way should they have been scoring from it and that was nothing to do with Pope. I am a Pope fan mind you
  11. I think the Pope punch criticism is a bit OTT. He had to come in to a crowd and it was absolutely tanking it so he probably thought trying to catch was a bit risky...you saw their keeper spill one for our 1st. Was a decent punch that cleared the area and then absolutely shite defending by 4 players to allow them to score.
  12. Look at how much Lascelles has improved just from training/coaching whilst not playing competitively. Would be a huge deal if Tonali can continue training...
  13. Damn, his English at 10 is better than it is now!
  14. So.....how did Sandro do today?
  15. Yeah, you'd hope if he has any kind of remorse he'd sign a new contract for longer on partially reduced wages over the term to take into account the ban period. He'll come out of the contract the same financially and we won't be adversely affected either. Obviously could be renogotiated in the future as usual.
  16. He doesn't change the direction of his run, just turns his body which looks worse but would have been wiped out regardless. He could easily have avoided it of course but shouldn't. Keeper unlucky as the defender put him under pressure with the back pass...
  17. Off on hols and you can no longer stream NOWTV im Europe post Brexit so missed this and the Liverpool game. Cheers Gammons
  18. From the Richard Arnold statement: "We were provided with alternative explanations for the audio recording, which was a short excerpt from a much longer recording, and for the images posted online."
  19. You'd imagine so as they have undertaken their own investigation into it. If they do retain him, I guess you can either assume they didn't have enough evidence to cut him loose, or they did but chose to keep him anyway for their own reasons. I suspect 95% of the population will happily assume the latter
  20. You still have to undertake a process and what would their justification be? I suspect offences directly associated to his actual role of playing football would have a lesser threshold, but anything else is going to have to be pretty watertight to avoid a shitload of legal action from him.
  21. I doubt contractually Man U or sponsors could pull the plug that easily without a conviction - That being said, Nike sacked him off pretty quickly but suspect they have tighter image restrictions on their individual sponsorship.... To be honest, I'm surprised Man U wouldn't try and flog him elsewhere and if I were him I'd want to slope off somewhere a little off radar as well.
  22. It's OK, they'll apologise in the next couple of days, suspend the VAR ref and add some additional robust controls in to ensure it doesn't happen again.
  23. I'd have personally been disappointed if we'd paid over £30m for someone who was injured for c.15 games, 3 times out of the last 4 seasons. So not really bothered about the fee. All the best ASM and thanks for the memories!
