Some of his stubbornness can be frustrating and there have been some less impressive signings (he admits himself a manager does well to get 70% or so success), but if we get taken over I absolutely wouldn't want anyone else.

Maybe people will just call it as they see it? He was utterly diabolical at times and has improved considerably in the two most recent games. Unfortunately those people are often what is wrong with the modern day football supporter.

Our squad is weak, need a fit Lascelles and Merino playing. Think the leadership of the former and class of the latter should be enough to keep us safe. A couple of big January signings would hopefully make it comfortably so.

He had the hump because the ref (rightly imo) gave a foul against him on King i think shortly before his booking, he was still annoyed. It's daft because it was a foul. Never understand footballers going mental when they clearly foul someone and think they haven't. He was annoyed because the ref didn't give a foul after he went to ground very easily and the ref gave a corner. Ref was correct. I think Rafa will keep us up and reasonably comfortable, in spite of the squad and dependent on injuries etc. Won't be enough for him unfortunately and the last 2 windows will see him leave.

I've seen this claim before, and it's simply not true. Nobody likes the thicko more because of his daft antics. He's a character, and a potentially really good player. Extrapolate that and he'd be on for 20+ goals this season Unfortunately based on current run rate this season he'll be missing for half of our games.

It's not that big a stretch that he was charged. West Ham guy was annoyed after so think the ref was just calming it down and didn't necessarily see it.

Thank f***, I was growing weary of the Siem injury jokes. Feels like this was 135 pages of injury lols and 7 actual football exploits.

I'm a little surprised Rafa has allowed himself to be out manoeuvred like this. To have a £6m compensation written in with nothing about guaranteed backing/expectations seems odd seeing as he's already experienced the January debacle. Reckon a lot of fans signed up for the season on an expectation he must have been officially promised funds to convince him to stay.

Almost want it to be over now. Rafas in the right of course, but the media frenzy and the "will he, won't he" is just draining. Rafa is too big for the club under Ashley ownership and seems just a matter of time....suspect there is going to be a lot of soul searching for many on here if it happens. Tell me how is a team that never played together with a few told they are surplus to requirements only 12 days ago meant to play together and want to put a good performance in etc? Sorry, but the manager has tried to use them tonight as pawns in his political battle with the owner. I think there is up front funds but an unwilling to increase the wage bill until some of the extended squad is moved on. Need some champ teams to get injuries and then panic buy or loan the likes of Hanley.
