  1. Sounds fun, but it could cause a parity between the top teams and bottom ones, with top ones hammering bottom by 5+ every time to rack up the extra points and the bottom ones never having a chance.
  2. I think it's inter dont know why I was thinking it was another prem team. Would like to see him go back to Atletico when they sell Costa.
  3. I might start making those lowlights videos, kind of like the 'Pele was shite' segment on Fantasy Football years ago.
  4. I've only seen Cabella a few times but I've seen nothing to suggest he's a Cabaye replacement. Yeah, different types of player. I was thinking last night that if we do sell him, there's no one player (that I'm aware of) who can do everything Cabaye does. Example, there's many good creative attacking midfielders but not many as industrious and willing to get stuck in as him. It'd certainly take a hefty whack to buy someone of his quality to replace him, which is obviously something we won't do.
  5. Mm, it's like he tried to add more strings to their bow (ability to go direct when needed, higher tempo in getting the ball forward) and it's come at the expense of the ridiculously high level they had the things they did well down to.
  6. Six-a-side league I play in has a team made up of Blyth Asda employees. Must have a shit scouting network.
  7. Prefer 'Karl-Heinz Colemannigge' tbh.
  8. Is it just me or is all the recent praise for Sherwood for "getting Adebayor scoring again" etc. really just papering over the cracks? Adebayor just wasn't playing, he was always going to be able to score if he was on the pitch. The problem was that Soldado wasn't scoring and Soldado still isn't scoring. It wasn't Adebayor that they spent £20 million on in the summer.
  9. If they intended to take the game into the air, why let them take the initiative and respond to how they wanted to play. Nullify it, keep the ball on the floor and don't let them do what suits them.
  10. 6-0. Best of both worlds.
  11. Just to confirm again, I was absolutely enraptured with us in the first half, but the second half was spoiled as a result of inexplicable and bewildering tactical decisions. Still a great result, just in spite of a very poor second half.
  12. Another time when I've been predicting a good week and it's turned out absolutely s***. Mainly due to players I was considering getting (Cabaye, can't be mad at him though) performing for rivals' teams whereas mine (Lallana going off, Boruc conceding two, Kolarov conceding two with no attacking returns) underperformed. Glad nothing for Liverpool's defence mind. Also on the bright side I didn't bring Willo in like I was going to, and Ward should come off the bench and give me something.
  13. Reminiscent of Cardiff away in the contrast between first and second half performances in that respect.
  14. This is it. I'm glad we won but that's overtaken by being so pissed off about the second half performance. We were obviously completely dominant, playing some great passing and possession football, really contemporary stuff. And because they get a fairly lucky goal against the run of play, he shits himself that they're going to come out and destroy us, and proceeds to let them do just that. Taking off Anita removed the option of a third midfielder, meaning that the two remaining (Cabaye and Tiote) had far much more to do in terms of running and distance to cover, had fewer options to pass to and quickly recycle the ball. Those two were two of our better performers in the first half, and afterwards they looked invisible for ages due to the ball rocketing over their heads to Shola. The way we had been playing was completely effective, and if he was worried that they would come out after their goal, why did he change our style of play to suit them and turn it into the kind of game they wanted to play? He can crow all he wants about how we dug deep and withstood their pressure, but the fact is we only had to do that because he let them.
  15. Particularly in women. and vinyl flooring.
  16. None of the fit ones from last time I was in (The WrestleMania Incident) are in that photo. Anyway, pretty sure I saw Mapou strolling through the Haymarket today. As chilled off the pitch as he is on it.
  17. McChicken Sandwich was it?
  18. Apart from the bit down the bottom. Also away and third are basically the same colour, what happened to the black third top?
  19. Like that Croatia one. Nice that they've gone a bit different with the red background instead of the usual white.
  20. Neither is fully fit; against such a physical side as Atlético it would be a mistake to start them. Not too confindent about tonight; we have always had a hard time at the Vicente Calderón, against much shitter Atlético sides. Mm, I'd probably have risked one of them but it makes sense to go with the players who've been in form while they've both been out. Pace of Alexis and Pedro could be useful in getting behind their pressing.
  21. http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll349/Todosobrecamisetas/Selecciones%202013/LUSA1.jpg Murkah
  22. Messi and Neymar both start on the bench tonight.
  23. Get in, transferred Eriksen in for this week only before hitting the wildcard this.
  24. Aiden McGeady to Everton, 4.5 years. And relax.
  25. Me and all my rivals in the garden of Eden on 8pts at the minute.
