  1. Give 14 to Cabella and tell him it's because Ginola wore it, he'll be into that.
  2. Beautiful b******s the both of them. Boca are often overlooked as part of the lush kits club.
  3. Looking at Wikipedia the numbers free are 5, 12, 14, 15, 17, 22, 23 (not a chance, retire it), 26, 30 De Jong had 15 in the friendlies if memory serves me right. Can see Colback or Cabella given 14, Perez and Riviere given 17 and one of the others. Janmaat probably 5 or 12.

Doesn't even play for Barca, how would they organise that? If you're going to take the mick at least ground it in reality.
  5. He'd be perfect on the right for us if HBA leaves / just isn't played anyway.

Wayne Routledge, man. I remember being at his first game for us and being so happy that him signing meant players (of any level) wanted to come here and we weren't going to drop into the abyss. Still wish I'd been to more away games that year, the one at Plymouth looked amazing, and Ipswich with Nolan's brace in about three seconds. Mostly went to fairly dull home wins that were over after half time. Still saw Nolan's owerheed kick and Pancrate's howitzer, mind.

  8. Aye, was thinking of this one but you just can't see them there. Probably never noticed it before, my bad.
  9. The cuffs weren't gold in the other pictures Also jesus how difficult is it to at least have the sides of the wonga logo touch the stripes?

    3-5-2

De Jong's probably well used to playing 4-3-3 at Ajax, I'd imagine he was at the point of the midfield triangle with two behind him.
  11. Yeah, most of the coverage was on the tributes at the ground, but there has been some about the fundraising and that tributes have come from all the north-east teams, as well as elsewhere.
  12. Even that doesn't ruin it imo, still way better looking than the leaked puma one.
  13. Currently on: Mannone, Krul Debuchy, Trippier, Vlaar, Cameron, Chester Sanchez, Hazard, Mata, Shelvey, Bannan Austin, Costa, Rooney Aiming for cheap and cheerful rotating defenders until team value improves and bigger players reduce in price. Probably going to change Trippier to someone else from Swansea or maybe Spurs/QPR until Burnley's good fixtures come around. Cheapest midfielder also has a few different options, and I'm torn between going for Rooney & Costa or RVP & Dzeko.
  14. Not the tidiest because MS Paint but here's my effort. http://i.imgur.com/TbYgDyv.png Adidas pls come back :'(
  15. Yep, when Adidas brought the grandad collar in for some of this season's designs, the one thing I wished was that we were still with them so we could get a modernised version of the 1996 shirt.
  16. Alonso hates playing on his own at the base of midfield as well, obviously not being an all-action chasing type of defensive midfielder whatsoever he prefers to dictate play while his partner wins the ball back. Their imbalance might turn out quite funny, if they end up getting peppered at the back by a weaker team at home or something.

  18. Most of the time they are at least good enough to be used regularly in cups and games against weaker sides, but even then they never seem to get a look in, usually get loaned out season after season while big money is spent on players in their position and never actually get to play for their parent club. Complete waste of money from the club and waste of important years of development in a player's career. I got you, Romelu.
  19. pretty much. Didn't want to sound like I was arguing with Doc - Ozil was just the only other one who sprang readily to mind, and even he wasn't that cheap, just cheap for RM. The rest of the time it's like you say. They really don't mind paying a premium so that other clubs do all the work in developing world class players. Ozil was after his performances at the 2010 World Cup, they usually sign one or two of the big stars of those. Look at the two going there now, Ronaldo in 2002, Cannavaro in 2006. It is enjoyable in a FIFA-esque way, seeing all these greats assembling a supposed 'dream team', but at the same time it is a little grotesque, the way Perez seems to just go "Who are the best attacking players?" and then spunks his big wad of cash on them with no regard to how his manager is supposed to fit them into a team that works, usually at the expense of said manager and an overloading of work on whichever poor b****** has to track back for all these players. Chelsea and Abramovich do the same, no idea why any self-respecting young player would join them and think he'd ever play.
  20. Real Madrid's post-World Cup transfer window "scouting" Aside from Varane, I can't remember the last time they've ever made a bargain transfer or unknown player who turned out to be good. When they signed Modric people were going on about how he wasn't good enough for the transfer fee, but he's risen to it. I'm not counting him because being the best player at Spurs doesn't exactly make you hard to spot.
  21. Probably, a little unsure what this means for Ancelotti's 4-3-3. Presumably Modric and Kroos together with Khedira holding. James could play on the wings too (as if).
  22. Aye, good footballing teams and atmospheres. Dunno about the usual ref standard but this one is terrible. No such thing as a good American ref in any sport. http://www.sbibookings.com/images/EarlHebner.jpg The s*** way he used to collapse to the deck when he didn't make the 3 count. Always gave away that the match wasn't over. Try again. Can't believe you're disrepecting big Earl. He was great Man stole merchandise to sell himself, no-good low-life motherfucker

Have to say that is wonderfully thoughtful and admirable from RTG. Goes to show that it's not just a tragedy for Newcastle supporters, it's one for football supporters and humankind in general. Great gesture.
