Muto has not played anywhere near enough for you to make that assessment. You're on a right daft cunt spree across threads today aren't you? OK then, Seydou Doumbia and Chucky could have offered us so much more than whoever was playing against them at the time. If you're not good enough you don't play football, what can't you grasp about that? Dwight Gayle, 2 goals, 2 assists in 532mins Yoshi Muto, 1 goals, 0 assists in 344 mins (EFL Cup) Your logic is so simple minded Our strikers have all struggled massively this season and yet at no stage was Muto given a fair shot. It makes no sense. Not to mention the fact that he can also play anywhere across the front line. Yet the likes of Atsu have also featured regularly ahead of him looking awful. I don't trust Bruce's judgement and I certainly don't trust yours either. So your logic is the manager who sees these strikers performing week-out, week-out isn't giving the better, younger player a chance because he doesn't "have the right judgement" and "it doesn't make sense". And my logic is simple-minded when based on facts, OK. Maybe the fact Atsu was getting games (which he isn't now) was because we didn't have any players besides Almiron/ASM who played in that position prior to Lazaro arriving and Muto is a CF/SS, not a LW possibly? I'm clearly wasting my time arguing with someone as dense as you. Also in one thread you're criticising the manager as being stupid for not picking Muto and in the other you're lauding him as a free-flowing football mastermind. Whatever suits your agenda best I guess.

My response follows plenty of logic which seemingly you're incapable of grasping. We played to Rafa/the players system and were doing OK (by our standards), Bruce continuously put down the style of play and said he wanted to attack more - a very typical statement from English managers. Tried it and got utterly fucking destroyed. He (or rather the players) played the way would get us safe for the rest of the season and it worked. Now under a zero pressure environment he has tried more expansive football and it has yielded 2 wins and 2 draws of which 3 teams we got these results against were sitting in the relegation zone. Good, but hardly something to wank over and claim we should have played that way all season.
-
He did, we got massacred. Yeah, as a manager you don't just change it for 5 mins and then switch back again. He's supposed to actually commit to it and you know, maybe coach the team? Afterall it's working now isn't it? Ridiculous comment. Rough Monday morning? I agree - he should commit to it and coach it. Which he seemingly has done now, and it's working. You asked why it took him so long to try it out. He did try it out. And it fell flat on its arse. He tried it before, badly, and it didn't work. He's now tried it properly, and it's worked. Not sure what's "ridiculous" about that. I'm fine Changing it one game is not trying it is my point. Whatever he has supposedly done now could and should have been done previously. He did, and as was pointed out. We got massacred. He then went back to what was left to him and he didn't have to work with i.e. Rafa's system which got us safe and over the line, now he's decided to open up a bit when there is no pressure in the form of relegation threat and also no toxic atmosphere. We're playing well, but let's remember we've won against a Shef Utd team that were knackered and down to 10 men after their second game of the restart in 3(or 4) days, Bournemouth who are fucking dreadful and drawn against West Ham United and Aston Villa. Bruce is hardly some mastermind of attacking football so stop trying to big him up as something he isn't.

Gayle offers us far more than Muto ever has at this level. Honestly if he could finish he'd be a very good PL striker - his movement and positional sense is class. He's our best striker by a mile at the moment which continues to tell us everything about the state of the club right now.

No need for blasphemy there, people do sometimes get thing wrong.

[clutching at straws] Today was one of the most spirited and energised performances I've seen from us in some time. Our players have never shied away from a challenge and I know Bournemouth are bad, but it was almost like everyone to a man was playing for their shirt today. Considering Lascelles has been in contact with Ashley over this, I wonder if something has been said to them to make them believe it's nearing a positive conclusion[/clutching at straws]

Phenomenal. Imagine his stats when he has a good team around him. He can still improve with his decision making and will continue to as he adapts and gets better which is scary as his end product is pretty solid anyway.

I'm 100% in agreement. However, playing devils advocate, how long do PL CEO's actually last? Isn't Masters meant to be out some time fairly soon? He's only been in the job for a few months. The previous one was there for 26 years. Fair do's, maybe I'm confusing them with a chairperson of the FA or something like that. Happy to be corrected.

It seems pretty clear they HAVE come to a decision - Saudi Arabia need to sort their shit out to the PL's satisfaction before they'll approve it. Everyone shouting for the PL to hurry up are missing the point - They PL are now waiting for the Saudis to do enough to satisfy them regarding piracy and IP rights. How can the Premier League hurry this exactly? The only decision faster than this is outright rejection because they cannot accept the Saudi owners at the moment. Just because we haven't been made privy to the details (and again, nor should we be) doesn't mean the PL are all just sat round not sure what to do. It's abundantly clear from the change in direction of the Saudis' behaviour regarding piracy and their recent public crackdowns and attempts to engage legally in IP matters that they're responding to direction from the Premier League. Once the Saudis do enough, it'll be passed. If the Saudis reach a point where they refuse to do more and the PL are still not satisfied, it'll collapse. But either way, I'm not sure how the PL can either hurry up or be accused of incompetence. I can't pretend to be an expert on the O&D test, however they have not been proven of any wrongdoing despite repeated failed attempts to prove otherwise. I don't see on what solid legal grounds they could be 'failing' at the present moment in time especially given WTO report effectively claimed the Qatari claims were a fallacy and in fact the only thing they were guilty of is 'they could have done more'. And even then the WTO report isn't a court ruling of any kind. Happy to be corrected, but it seems like the PL are pushing their luck with their friends in BeIN behind them hoping to make the situation so awkward they'll just get bored and sack it off.

He started off right saying if you're far left or far right to fuck off. Both absolute spackers either way. Coming out with "I'm reviewing" though weirdo.
-
We need this now. There is no excuse for 13 weeks man. We've been patient for long enough it's time for the PL to make a fucking decision.
-
Shakira should divorce him for that shit. Horrific patter.
-
Possibly Aarons as a squad option and obviously I'd take Grealish, but should the takeover happen I'd hope we aim higher or at least level and get someone who isn't as much of a cunt. King or Wilson are better than any of our strikers now too.
-
Think this thread is bad enough without going back to that shit.

She's not gonna shag ye

It isn't the world is against us, but can totally agree interviews with questioning like this and little balance fuel that feeling. There are certainly a hell of a lot more people that don't want this, than those that do.
-
Well well well... Saudi majority shareholder in Shef Utd. has resigned according to companies house. Clearly part of a compromise as a result of the PL checks. Absolutely huge and shows things continue to move significantly.
-
Yeah that's very much an all fart and no shite attacking line up. Get a striker that can put it in the net ffs.
-
More shite filler in this saga than there is in the Walking Dead ffs.

FTR - not that I really have to clarify myself - but on my post, I'm more pointing to the repetetive use of open letters and like a lot of small minded journalist, passing responsibility on to the fans to block and contest the takeover, without knowing a single fucking thing about the City of Newcastle, how we feel about our football club and the fact that all we want is Ashley gone - almost whatever the cost. I've yet to see any evidence his fiancee has ever challenged any Saudi purchase previously - and while I'm sure she has - I doubt it's been as relentlessly as this. 3 letters in nigh on 4 weeks. It seems pretty transparent that this isn't just her acting in the memory of her fiancee and that there's another driving force behind this.
