Who have thought getting relegated could turn out so fucking good!?
-
Totally agree with this. Watch his face and his eyes are always following the ball.

Aye he's missed a couple of sitters but since Rafa came in he seems to have adapted really well and been a great asset for us compared to earlier in the season. I haven't seen the game or the tackle thanks to a horrendous stream but he has been scoring goals despite not starting, has been playing well and offered us a lot. I want to see the tackle first before making any comments about how much of liability he could be, because I know a few people on here seem to go a bit OTT when it comes to slating him for some reason.

This is the biggest decision in Mike Ashley's entire tenure at the club IMO. It's a chance to prove to everybody that he genuinely has the best interests of the football club and its future at heart if he agrees a deal with Rafa to let him have full control of exactly what a football manager should have. If this comes off (and he sticks to his word) I will quite happily see this as Ashley finally admitting the error of his previous ways and turn over a new leaf with the supporters of the club. It's win-win either way really, keep Rafa and you probably keep the majority of the squad who are actually worth keeping from someone who knows them already and is a top class proven manager to boot, we go on to piss the Championship (I do think it's an awful league) and immediately start challenging the top 10 with sound investment and a system the players have bought into, with the added confidence of winning games the season before and also younger players such as Mbemba, Lascelles and Mitro hugely improving (providing they stay). The better league positions, the more money we make. Get into Europe and go on a run, it's huge exposure for the NUFC brand and we can be recognised as a force once again. When Ashley first arrived he talked about a 5 year plan, it was all a crock of shit. He needs to agree to one this time with Rafa and stick to it and both sides will absolutely reap the rewards. If they can't agree a deal with Rafa I truly worry for the future of the club. We'll undoubtedly lose any players worth keeping and will be left with a team where Colback will be amongst our best players. It'll be an exodus with nothing to save us given the U-18's and U-21's are fucking shite and are getting annihilated in their own respective leagues, so we don't even have potential to rely on, only loan signings and league-standard players. We'll likely get promoted but it'll be a battle and when we do go up we'll be straight back down again as clearly he still isn't learning his lesson.

Ridiculous. Fuck this cunt.
-
Fucking horrendous there, how on earth has he let that in ?
-
See ya. He'll be well off to WBA in the window.
-
He'll definitely stay, he knows there's no point going to another PL club to sit on the bench at this point. Better to ply his trade with us for a few more years.
-
I have read that twice and still cannot understand a word of it Doesn't matter, we're fucked either way.
-
I think Krul will leave, Darlow will stay, along with Elliott. Dummett, Lascelles and Mbemba are the only defenders I care about enough to want them to stay no matter what. Anita, Townsend, Aarons, Tiote are the only midfielders I'm arsed about making an effort to keep. Mitro and Perez can stay (the latter probably won't), the rest can fuck off.
-
Pfffft, he is one of the best players in the world himself.
-
Not world class obviously but a comparison is Carroll who isn't fast by any means. If he stays, I think playing in the Championship to bang in a few goals and get some confidence will be massive for Mitro and will be a huge turning point in his career here, although I do maintain that playing another striker alongside him (maybe Armstrong) will relieve the pressure and isolation on him and also help. Can't see Rafa changing from 4-2-3-1 though unfortunately.
-
Aye, he'll find his level next season.
-
I feel quite confident he'll stay, the only thing which gives me doubt is whether or not the club will agree to keep him on. He clearly wants to stay in England, he wants a project and a challenge and he loves it here. The fact that he has terminated the contracts of Obertan and Marv prior to the end of the season where they could be 'the next managers problem' who may want to keep them for the Championship speaks massive volumes IMO. No matter what the outcome he's evidently thinking ahead and I don't think you can put it down to blind faith that we would stay up as he definitely isn't that stupid.
-
To be far, without the points from us they'll most likely be down next season. Burnley, Mackems and Palace down next season.
-
I'd rather fuck him off, he's too disinterested and too old to serve us properly. Sell him and try to keep Mitro.
-
Got a quid on 5-3 win for us with Mbemba getting the first goal at 4000/1. Got a good feeling about this one...
-
This this this.

Really? From what I've heard of Rafa he doesn't exactly bow down to a players ego and seems to have a preferance for everyone in his team to put a shift in to a certain extent. As much as I'd like to think otherwise, I don't think Rafa and Hatem would have got on particularly well, but he certainly wouldn't have chronically mismanaged him like Pardew did and let him go for nowt.
-
 Not when I'm in fucking work, man.
-
He's performed exceptionally well considering the circumstances but there's no way in hell we should even consider him being our RB (or anywhere in the starting XI) next season. If we stay up anyway.

Totally agree, when frequenting a lot of general football forums when I was younger I found the vast majority of Liverpool fans came across as twats. Always thought purely because of their history they're the greatest football club to ever grace the world and even when they were shite and taking a bit of stick (because they loved to dish it, but could never take it) was always to either kick off or just come back with "5 times lad" or some other shite. For that reason I never liked Liverpool and always enjoyed seeing them humbled. Since moving here a few years ago I've never came across anyone who is actually like that, their supporters are spot on - have nothing but kind words for geordies and for NUFC and generally they have all been spot on people. Like us they're all immensely passionate about their football and enjoying a pint or six too. I like to see them do well now and was actually quite gutted for them when they didn't get the title under Rodgers.

Simeone hitting the fourth official!?
