    Sammy Ameobi

I was surprised he kept taking them even after Ryan Taylor was on, he's the one decent corner taker we have at the club.
  2. I was surprised how shit Villa were mind, thought Sherwood would have at least got them fired up. Might turn out to be like Shearer taking over here the season we went down, coming in too late to make a difference.
  3. Abeid is clearly ahead of Anita in the pecking order now, it'll surely be him and Colback in there once he's back from suspension, with Sissoko pushing further forward again.

    Rolando Aarons

Another setback: http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/newcastle-prodigy-rolando-aarons-suffers-injury-setback-1-7132775 Don't think we're going to see this kid again this season tbh.

    NUFC finances

Thought we would be looking at over 50 million profit - will be interesting to see how the club spin it, and will Ashley take a chunk of it for his "debt"

  7. Costa in a fighty mood again it seems

Lee Ryder again - what is it with him and Carver ffs??
  9. That's been mentioned a few times now - I suspect the things they were most unimpressed with were that he would want to bring his own coaching staff and clearly has a mind of his own.
  10. I'll preface this by saying i'm over the moon that Pardew has finally gone and this is in no way an endorsement of his shithouse tactics and horrible football but.... I didn't think it was possible for us to look like we had even less of an idea of what we were supposed to be doing on a football pitch than when he was here but our brave crumpled faced necromancer has somehow achieved it. Especially in the last 3 games we've gone out looking like 11 lads plucked from the street, given boots and kit and told to get on with it. No shape, no plan, no organisation or movement. I don't know what they're doing in training but none of our players seem to have any idea of where on the pitch they're supposed to be in any given phase of play, it's like a pick up game on the street. Positional discipline is non existent (see Colo charging forward on the counter yesterday ending up at the edge of the Villa box), players are just roaming around the pitch depriving us of width and options and meaning that when the opposition get the ball they have massive spaces to exploit. I've honestly never seen a professional, elite level football team play in such an amateur and haphazard way. It's like a sunday league team's idea of 'Total Football'. That's a really good summing up - struck me pretty much from the start that there was no clear game plan or structure, the players were just winging it. A better side would have picked us apart, as we'll probably see on Wednesday night...
  11. West Ham: Adrian, Jenkinson, Reid, Tomkins, Cresswell, Song, Noble, Kouyate, Downing, Sakho, Valencia.
  12. Interesting that the poll on the article asking whether we should keep him is about 50/50 - thought he still had wider support than that in the general fanbase.

Such an angry little man, it's won't be long until he's starting on the fans again.
  14. Listen, they've got to get through Ryan Taylor as well - squad depth is what we're all about these days.

Can't someone just make him stop talking?

    Remy Cabella

Has to play Sammy surely? Even Obertan would be a better bet than Gouffran. Is Aarons in the squad?

Being considered for next Rangers manager according to this chap: http://www.philmacgiollabhain.ie/long-term-planning/ Taking Rob Elliott with him would be an added bonus!
  19. Bet he wishes he was a little bit taller as well.

He's saying all the stuff we suspect Pardew used to think but wasn't stupid enough to actually come out and say. We've actually managed to find a thicker, shitter version of Pardew, quite impressive really.
  21. Both pen appeals were decent shouts imo

Cameron at least willing to give him some shit: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-city-5-newcastle-united-8693515?
  23. He's painfully average and really shouldn't be missed. I would play Abeid and Sissoko CM against Villa.

Everton will get their act together and finish 11th. Martinez sacked. You could be right - just checked their run-in, it's a lot easier than ours.

Think we'll probably scrape 11th tbh - there's a 5 point cushion there at the moment and the teams below are poor. There's no way they'll not appoint him for missing out by 1 place...
