For all the ex pros and journos getting stuck into him the harshest criticism has surely come from the NO community.

Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton 15h Seen Pardew incident. As per usual. Massively over-hyped... Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton 15h Don't let a couple of stupid incidents detract from the job he has done at Newcastle. Especially with what goes on behind the scenes there. Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton 15h Got a lot of time for Pardew. Regardless of what people think, he is a top manager. One of the best I've worked with.

The Battle For More Points than 2010/11 - SUCCESS!
Varadi replied to Taylor Swift's topic in Football
More points away than at home - must be a long time since that's happened. -
Was watching the Souness and Shearer interviews, bit surprised they were so critical tbh, rather than the usual old pros circling the wagons - obviously no love lost there. Thought the incident was a bit of nothing much really - overwhelming reaction in the pub was cheering and people pissing themselves laughing.

He'll get a lengthy ban, and rightly so. Not a sackable offence IMO, but if Ashley has been wanting rid of him wouldn't put it past him to try use this as an excuse to cut down on the compo...
-
Decent side - only problem is every time he picks a team most people are happy with we seem to get dicked.
-
Been thinking for a while their name is on it - the last gasp winner over Chelsea, the ridiculous penalties at Old Trafford....
-
Swansea have conceded more than us yet Vorm is in. He wasn't in goal for most of those though. Now you're just nitpicking
-
It's pointless anyway as they've already made it clear Remy will be gone next season. Agree that it's daft to loan a player for half a season and then not play him, unless it's already been decided they don't want him.
-
tbf I think their springboard to improved form was more about ditching the unhinged Italian nutjob who was managing them previously.

That's a simply brilliant piece of writing. Anyone reckon we could convince him to post on the forum?

Almost certainly Giggs, but this made me

The report names Vurnon Anita, Mathieu Debuchy, Yoan Gouffran, Massadio Haïdara, Moussa Sissoko and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa all acquired in January 2013. A number of younger players also arrived at St. James' Park, including Gaël Bigirimana, Curtis Good and Kevin Mbabu. Probably includes agents fees etc too.

Cheers

One bit I don't get: While Newcastle United's use of its overdraft facility stood at £4.5million on 30th June 2013 - up from just £0.3million, the Club's debt remains static in the form of a £129million interest-free loan from owner Mike Ashley. If we've made 10 million profit and Ashley hasn't taken any loan back, how do we still have an overdraft?
-
Aye they deserve to be there. Am proper envious of their trip to the final, will be a class weekend for them. Would be nice if they lose in an embarrassing fashion but can see a tight game tbh.
-
Should be a lot more - if we managed to make 10 million profit with a net transfer spend of 16 million then we would be 26m up just from spending nothing all year. Add in the 20m for Cabaye, the promised extra commercial income, more TV money and a higher league finish and it should be 60m+ by my reckoning...

He's in Cyprus at the moment - just saw him in Holland & Barrett in Paphos buying a load of health food. Speech is still shot to pieces but he doesn't look too bad otherwise...

Gus Poyet fears Sunderland will be 'embarrassed' in the cup final Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has warned his side will be "embarrassed" in the Capital One Cup final if they produce a repeat of the performance that saw them lose 4-1 at Arsenal. The Black Cats face Manchester City in the final at Wembley on 2 March. Poyet was left frustrated by his team's inability to cope with a rampant Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. He said: "If we play like this against Manchester City we could be embarrassed." http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26309090

Current top scorers: Luis Suarez 23 Daniel Sturridge 18 Sergio Agüero 15 Yaya Touré 13 Olivier Giroud 12 Eden Hazard 12 Loïc Remy 12 He's in some pretty decent company there, despite playing for a shitter team than the rest of them and missing quite a few games - someone is almost certain to offer him a lot more money than us I reckon.

Baker has made at least one hilarious mistake every time I've watched him, seems to be something of a liability...

Bad result today but still looks like the shitness of Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich will keep them up.
