Stevenage 3 - 1 Newcastle Newcastle 2 - 1 Blackburn Brighton 1 - 0 Newcastle Brighton 2 - 0 Newcastle Newcastle 1 - 2 Cardiff Seriously depressing list. Almost makes you think the prick is doing it on purpose. There are still 11 players on the pitch who could try to win even if Pardew said to them they should lose it.... True. But there could've been 11 better players out there if he was taking it seriously.

Exactly. Not even the "excitement" of a relegation battle this year.

Frees up the rest of my weekend at least - no interest in watching FA Cup games once we're no longer in it.

They've given Osvaldo a 3 match ban - seems harsh! http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2014-01-03/southampton-striker-dani-osvaldo-handed-three-game-ban-and-fined-40-000-for-newcastle-brawl/?

Allardyce in to 1/5 on Skybet, wouldn't surprise me at all to see "suspicious betting patterns" around his eventual departure.... http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/next-manager-to-leave-post

Don't think so - there isn't any overseas coverage advertised.

Probably just had an expletive-strewn phonecall from JFK

As clear a red as you'll see. Shame.

Aye, either Santon's lost his man or Colo never had him in the first place - not great either way.
-
Santon was marking Giroud? Really? Looked like it to me. Of course you can blame it on Colo if you want as he's shite player/captain. Aye - obviously we don't know what the instructions were but as they lined up to defend the free kick it looked to me like Giroud was Santon's man.
-
I thought he was very good against Arsenal, he's getting close to his barnstorming best again.
-
Aye, possibly his best performance for us I thought.
-
tbf Wenger shut up shop with 20 minutes to go today, if Pardew did that he would be slated. Quite pleased with the performance today overall, thought the result could easily have gone either way.
-
Happy enough with the lineup, should be a good game.
-
Think it'll be the team that started at Old Trafford, with HBA on the bench. Walcott is the obvious danger but i think Santon will handle him OK, especially with support from Gouffran - he hasn't been in the best of form but you don't often see him getting skinned.
-
We have 22 out of the last 27 home and away, including beating Spurs, Chelsea and Man Utd to nil - they should be worried about us!
-
Still remember his debut at Old Trafford, he was brilliant that day, really thought we had unearthed an absolute gem.
-
Terrible half for Evra, he's been skinned repeatedly.
-
They're bang average without Rooney - better team than Norwich could do them here.
-
He'll have a few more setbacks before he makes it back I reckon, but if he does play against us Iron Mike will take care of business.
-
I would probably agree with that. Also to be taken into account is the low net spend he's achieved it with, which makes it even more impressive - KK and SBR were both well backed financially, and didn't have to compete against ridiculous billionaire's toys like Chelsea and Man City either.
-
He's definitely thriving on the extra confidence at the moment - some of the stuff he's trying, and actually pulling off, would've been unthinkable not that long ago.
