  1. Been checking the stats on wiki and based on win percentages he is now statistically shitter than some of the other shockers we've had: Roeder - 45.83% Souness - 43.37% Dalglish - 38.46% Pardew - 38.00% Quite surprised by that to be honest, didn't realise it was that poor. If you start at the end of the 5th place finish season his win % drops to 32.9%, which is even worse than Gullit...
  2. Not that I'd want Bruce, but considering he's never led a big team his record is far better than Pardew's. Was interested to see how they compared so checked wiki - Bruce has a career win percentage of 37.39 from 666 games to Pardew's 42.73 from 674. That's why I included the bit about Bruce never having led a big team. Pardew's win percentage is boosted by his wins with us and leading high profile lower league teams. I am sorry - I want Pardew out as much as the next man, but what does this even mean? A manager's win ratio is boosted by winning games. Who would have thought it? Should we not count Pardew's wins with us? His win percentage with us is only 38% - the only place he was worse was Charlton.

  4. Actually think there's a good chance we'll win this - Remy, Colo and Tiote back in makes a huge difference. Reckon he might drop Sissoko and use Gouffran and Sammy on the flanks with Remy and De Jong up top.
  5. What a goal that was by Arsenal.
  6. I'm getting: Resource Limit Is Reached The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later. Looks like their bullshit stories are getting even more bites than they expected.
  7. I've said it before - Pardew is an average manager. There are many better ones out there, and several worse. Fortunately for him we appear to have an owner who is more than content with average performance, reckon it would take something fairly disastrous to earn him the sack.
  8. Didn't watch this one after missing the Chelsea game too. Looks like 2 sensible decisions, can see this becoming a habit.
  9. Last 9 games: W1 D1 L7 F4 A17 Spread over a season that would have us challenging the mackems 15 point low. Time to go surely?
  10. Talk about damned by faint praise

    Sunderland

Fulham and Norwich look doomed to me - Norwich in particular have a killer run in. Leaves one spot between Cardiff, Palace, WBA and the mackems, going to be tight between those 4 I reckon.
  12. So, we're missing: Debuchy Colo Tiote Remy Gouffran Cabaye That's basically a list of all our best players this season. Think we'll probably lose this one.
  13. Made no effort to watch the game today and feel a lot better for it, same as when I missed the Man City game earlier in the season. After years of watching every minute of every game can see myself missing more and more, can do without constant downers on my weekends tbh
  14. Aye. A tramp's runny shit with bits of blood and worms in it.
  15. Missing Remy, Cabaye, Tiote, Colo, Gouffran ? And ?. Does that mean we have to play with zilch shape, zilch creativity, zilch heart, zilch organisation, zilch endeavour. The manager is fucking useless. In isolation the missing players is actually a legitimate factor, problem is pardew has consistently shown it only takes the slightest of curve balls to screw him completely
  16. I don't class finishing 8th as "doing well", nor do I put exiting the cups as soon as possible every year into that category. Agreed. Although at the same time I would find 8th a lot easier to accept if we were having a proper go in the cups. You know, the only real chance we have of actually winning anything!

    Sammy Ameobi

Likely to be Shola's last derby today, so the perfect opportunity to pass the mackem slaying baton onto the natural successor...
  18. So, Joe Kinnear really isn't very good at this Director of Football lark? I'm astonished.
  19. Shola was always going to start this one - hopefully he can give us a decent hour then get De Jong on for the last 30. Think we can win this but would take a draw right now.
  20. Sad thing is, the way the club is run these days you can actually see the logic in not buying anyone - not going to get relegated, not going to make top 4, no cup to aim for, don't want Europa league, so why bother? Wonder how long until more and more fans start to take the same approach and just stop going - what's the point?
  21. Only 22% think we'll beat the mackems at home - now there's lowered expectations for you
  22. That's some scary shit. Even scarier for the mackems mind - they've spent over 90 million more than us and are still shite!
  23. De Jong for me. We know the other 2 will be shite, he might not be.
  24. Shush man, I went just far enough back to gain him the statistical advantage....
