  2. Just watched the game back and I have to say we really were terrific over the 90 minutes. As much as Man U were poor (and they were) I think a sizeable chunk of that was down to our "hunting in packs" all over the pitch. We really limited them to very little and never really allowed them to get up a head of steam except for the start of the second half which we eventually managed to quell. I'm OK with our performance being overlooked actually as I think it'll work in our favour in the long run. I really really hope AP takes the lesson from this performance and sets us up to dominate games more than we have. Our interplay was very good (particularly at the back when under pressure) our short and long passing was neat and tidy and we really stretched them at times going forward. That was a lovely way to waste a couple of hours
  3. This is what we were all thinking 18 months ago, having just finished 5th. A couple of really decent players and we were going places. But Ashley wouldn't spend and last season was a complete write off. Who expects him to spend in January? I don't. If there's transfer activity next month i doubt very much that it'll be incoming. a case of rince and repeat unfortunately
  4. That's mad like. Must be surreal as fuck to play there (although they obviously couldn't give a toss, just thinking about the money) Still it must be a really hollow experience
  5. Just seen this in the other thread, what a fucking joke
  6. Getting really fucked off with commentators referring to Mattio Debuchy Fuck off twats
  7. So much optimism Most going for a win ffs, what wrong with you all Seriously though, this is going to be a really interesting tactical battle after Saturday. With AP confirming he'd made mistakes (or at least saying he'd took the blame) for our plan at Swansea, it'll be fascinating to see what way he sets us up for this. Southampton are still a very difficult side to play against, they'll give us all sorts of problems, no question about it and I'm not sure a win is going to be straight forward at all. So I'm going for a score draw of 2-2. Personally I hope he goes with the same formation from Man U with 5 in midfield and try and control the game but I suspect he will allow them the ball and try and hit them on the break. Really looking forward it though.
  8. The result will make that trip even better
