Just my opinion, but I have always felt that he only posts when he has something tangible to contribute. So - I feel that he will be back !! His "champagne in a few weeks" isn't ageing that well though sadly. Nearly 6 weeks and counting. Hope is all well and good, but it would be nice if what he said actually turned out to be accurate.

It's much the same as the way that most people, given the choice, would prefer to have a wank rather than eat shit.

This is something I don't understand about those who keep, persistently, posting in this thread that any takeover is dead - if they believe that, why do they keep coming back to this thread? Surely, if one believes that there is no active takeover activity then it would be a complete waste of time reading this thread unless the subject changed to indicate a new development. So, therefor, I can only assume that those repeatedly commenting (in this thread) that the takeover is not happening are just trolls - which is why I ignore them completely. I don't agree that they should be banned from the forum (I hope they've got something other than trolling to contribute to other threads) but it would be nice if there was the ability to temporarily suspend an account that is trolling a thread (just to give everyone a break from their persistent negativity). Well personally I don't think this takeover will happen, but at the same time this is the only thread I have any interest in as the club is dead to me until Ashley leaves. Manor Park is trolling more than anyone in here, but because he's stupidly and unrealistically positive that is OK in some posters' eyes

I think Mimms is the only one who thinks theres a chance of it being sorted before then. Based on what he’s said, the people involved, the pressure on the PL etc I think a takeover is a possibility in December or in January. We seen miles away at the moment Based on what? The thing is we don’t know. But with buyers + Ashley + lawyers involved there’s a possibility something could be around the corner. Based on caulkin who talks to the buying side mainly. Fair enough. I think George Caulkin is cautious in what he says this time though. If 'no red flags' George is being cautious it's probably because of his experience of being given information from the buying side that hasn't materialised.

This has been my major issue for a long time now. The hinting that it's nearly done, only for the noise to carry on for months afterwards. Caulkin got told soon. Mimms got told soon. Who is telling them this, and why does their info consistently fail to come true? I don't really get where you are getting its nearly done vibes. He's always been clear its going to be a long process but worth it. ps. Bruce is never getting sacked while Ashley is here. His job is to keep us up and we are not even in the relegation zone yet and WBA and Fulham are deffo going down. Mimms said "it may be a few weeks until the champagne is opened" - that isn't preparing people for a long process is it? Caulkin, back in April or May, said he'd been told it could be approved in a matter of days. So that's where those vibes came from. Of course Bruce isn't getting sacked, his job on top of what you listed is also to piss of the fans. It's a bonus for Ashley.
