Why is there supposed to be some sort of vote on this today? What is the criteria for a plan being put to a vote, just a couple of clubs' desires? What's to stop a whole raft of crazy proposals from all corners in that case? I might have missed something obvious as Ive not been paying that much attention to it.

It's a non-starter surely? The only worry would be that a set of less extreme proposals have already been drawn up, and all this nonsense will make the next proposals look more attractive in comparison. Although large sections of the media do seem to be behind this - they don't have to give it so much attention and support but they are.

Nah, it's shite. Watching on tele is far more than a watered down experience. I'd pay a small fortune for a ticket to a music festival but I wouldn't pay to watch the show on tele, you're paying for the live experience, the day out. For a company that hate their product being pirated as much as the Premier League do, they're incredibly gifted when it comes to pushing people towards it. It's so easy to find a stream nowadays that anyone paying £15 to watch Steve Bruce's Newcastle play wants throwing in a looney bin. Completely agree with this.
