Was just telling my wife about that lol. Fucking like for like sub of the left back on 62 minutes every single game. I'm convinced he was just trying to look like he's doing his job but had no idea what else to do.
-
Yeah rooting for the team to lose so that the manager would be sacked, for two different fucking managers, what the fuck.

Getting really excited to see Eddie Howe's second go at the CL. He's going to start preparing as soon as the draw comes out, we'll have a stronger squad and more experience with midweek schedules... Think we will surprise a few people for sure.
-
Terrible game yesterday, but he's carried us for a few months this season so I'm willing to forgive. Plus he's such a great character, really happy for him to be living out his dream for a while here.

To be fair we don't know what happens behind the scenes, he could have been having raging arguments for months about keeping Miggy before they finally sold him. It's not like he's going to air that in the press, even if he's crying himself to sleep snuggling Miggy's old pillow every night we wouldn't know the difference.

Think Sandro is really the story of this season, he was fantastic all year and if I'm remembering right it was his form when he moved to the deeper role that broke us out of that slump around the holiday period. He was also the one player who liked like he still had it towards the end of the season when everybody else was fucked. Quite a player man, and what a season after a year off, really shows how hard he must have been training during that suspension.

The season review thread in a couple of days is going to be just delightful. Once the taste of today's defeat fades away we'll be left with a real gem of a season to reflect on. Fifth, CL, and a trophy, just brilliant. Couple of delicious statement wins sprinkled in there too, Well fucking done man.

Two big slips from Burnie today! Desperately need to sign a new kit man in the summer window.
-
I think the whole team was exhausted, we had key players out injured (Hall, big Joe) that forced us into weird formations, and we generally looked like a team limping across the finish line. Think Howe did an incredible job with the resources available this season, and we just ran out of gas on the last day.

Who fucking cares! We made it! Shit loss here, but there were some heroic wins over the season, just rearrange them in your memory. Besides, in the dark hours of the night before this match, if they'd have offered you a shit loss and qualification, you'd all have fucking taken it! Champions fucking League boys! Come on!
-
Team looked fucking knackered. Definitely missed joelinton also. Very much a last legs of the season performance, but what the fuck we made it!
-
I think they changed it, but the NFL used to do a TV blackout unless the stadium sold out, then the game would be shown.
-
I'm still pleasantly drunk the night before the match over here, no worries at all. Gonna make some chocolate chip pancakes for the kiddos 7amish tomorrow and then start shitting my pants right around 8am in time for kickoff.

I'm not local so maybe I don't get it, but I'm much more interested in having the derbies back than watching another terrible season of Sheffield United. Plus watching them set a goals conceded record will be good fun.

What the fuck did I just write... It's going to be a long week.

Have to remind myself that we were 13th for a while. Being in control of our CL qualification on the last day is fucking great considering how we started the year. I'd rather play almost any team but Everton, though. They are shit but, similar to palace, we seem to struggle with their particular brand of shittiness. Add Wolves to that I guess. Everton, Palace, Wolves, and any team that's good, those are the ones to stay away from

Feel like Eddie decided he'd rather have Isak for everton than arsenal. This is based on nothing other than my pro evo experience.
-
Would say he's been easily as important as any of the other signings. Trips set the tone, Bruno and Isak are the push to elite level, but none of it gets anywhere if we're shipping goals and Burn was immense for a full season at left back while Hall got up to speed, and then even better at center back. He has his limitations, and it's insane how he can't score a header to save his life (except in cup finals) but he's been a huge part of our success since he came in. Plus he's just a great dude.
-
Now you're fucking talking.
-
I like it, but where's the bird? We have a lot of shit to jam into our crest it seems, seahorses, birds, castles... Maybe the black and white stripes have to go and we can just have a bunch of animals in a castle?
-
Sweet little pass to Bruno too. Drags the ball back and then plays it with the outside of his foot, defender was not ready for that shit from Burny.
-
He came on right after Murphy got rinsed on that side too. Think that change was perfect. Murph is fine as a wing back but not in a 4.
-
Perfect bounce back game.

Christianity is about as far from the teachings of Jesus as you can get.

At the very least it shows a lack of professionalism. I've got zero patience for excusing the bigotry of fundy christians, but I'm also not interested in proselytizing about that so I'm going to leave it be. From a purely footballing perspective, writing on the armband shows a lack of professionalism and character. The best thing for the team in that situation is to just wear the armband and focus on winning the game, not creating a needless distraction by defacing the armband you are required to wear by the league. Maybe its not a huge impact, but it is an example of him putting his personal interests ahead of the team. Add to that the fact that he's never looked like much of a world beater when we played Palace, or for England, and that they tried to fuck us around on the fee last time, and I am more than happy to find another centerback with less baggage. Maybe even one who is smart enough to keep his religious bigotry on the down-low like most people do.
