Taking my 2-year old to Disney World next week with the in-laws*, not looking forward to trying to keep her on track during all the queueing there. *jesus fucking christ

I'm sorry guys, back when he got his first injury I had the thought of "oh great he's just going to be always injured and we'll never know how good he could have been" and then I did not perform the appropriate cleansing rituals to defuse that curse, so this is probably all my fault. Maybe he'll play a little bit in preseason next year, that could be fun.

Only saw the second half but thought he was very good. Especially when he got back to cover for burn and block that cross. The whole team looked tired towards the end tbf.
-
I'm thinking if you have to choose a half for Maxi to play in, it's the second half. His threat could help keep the fuckers honest during the 12 minutes of added time.

I mean yeah, skipping the birth for work is definitely a cunty move. Cunt is a spectrum, you know.
-
I mean, I remember him being shite, I don't remember the baby.
-
Fair, but he's also wealthy enough to not have to get up in the night if he'd rather not. It's not like when the wife and I had to give up the only bedroom in our 700 square foot apartment to the bairn and sleep on the couch for 8 months until we found a 2-bedrooom Kind of curious now, I've never really heard of male athletes having a dip in form after the birth of a child, but it could be something folks just don't talk about since it's a bit rude to mention as a negative? Anyone seen a discussion of the impact anywhere?

At least it just means he's fresh for Everton, if true. Still disappointing mind, but I'd rather have a happy Bruno with a settled family if it comes down to it.
-
Probably depends on whether or not he's been on the Merlot for a couple of hours...
-
Agree that past results don't matter much. It's a fact that the referee will be rough at Old Trafford though. To win we'll need to be up by two going into the unlimited stoppage time.
-
That was a hell of a save too.
-
Did he come off for injury? I was wrangling my two year old so didn't really see why he came off...

Love this answer, putting it right back on the premier league with their bullshit test. If you've ever listened to the football finance podcast you'll know they've let a horde of absolute scoundrels through that test so I love that he's obliquely calling that out and basically telling the people complaining to get fucked, all in the nicest way possible

okay that one got me

It's wild that this dude is the only source of any footage for our women's team.
-
Could certainly be game by game as well, depending on the opposition. Love having the options, and love even more that we have someone who's not an idiot making these decisions

Yeah same here, WTF followed by "well, Eddie knows what he's doing so let's wait and see..." Also maybe belongs in the Burn thread but I have been really impressed with him at LB, obviously he has been immense at CB but he really does a job at LB as well, seems 100% rock solid and he's tidy with the ball. If he doesn't get forward that's not really the worst thing in the world as it gives us some balance, with ASM being so attack minded and Trippier constantly getting forward from RB it's not terrible to have a more defensive minded player on the left. Overall I think Targett starts ahead of him at but I have no issues at all when I see Burn run out on the left.

I remember a period under pardew when we couldn't keep possession on a throw in to save our lives...
-
Better than Liverpool.

Yeah he is so good. I got so used to watching us play center forwards who aren't center forwards that I almost forgot what it looks like! I think that was a trickier chance than it looked, had to go for the corner to get around the traffic, should have scored though yeah. His curler looked real fucking close too, could easily have had a hat trick already.
-
Not that fucking long ago we looked worse with a man advantage. Also what the fuck kind of name for a stadium is craven cottage, does that make more sense in English English? For me it might as well be "Cowardly Cabin" what the hell man.
-
Remember when we used to struggle against 10 players?
-
Fucking needed a game like this! For the record they're lucky to have ten men on the field, I thought Mbabu on Willock could easily have been a red also, it's a bit less intentional-looking but he ends up flying in and scissoring his fucking ankle.

Beautiful goal, Bruno and Migoal definitely have some great chemistry.
