So high after this game, thought everyone played great even the ginger nightmare was less horrible than usual and no doubt he started with Hayden in mind for QPR on Tuesday. Really loving how we are hitting teams with the dagger late on in the last few games. Early leads, late insurance goals, a tight team with a fucking plan, I could get into this Rafa Benitez stuff!

He is going to get himself a nice little stack of goals from midfield this season. I thought he was canny when he first arrived and I think we'll see more if that now that he's not being played in the holding role.

Fuck yeah! Saw some good stuff from him and an excellent run for the goal, even if it turns out to be an own goal it's very much a 'forced terror' and the pressure from yedlin caused the OG. Really high on this guys potential and its such a sweet bonus to see one of the USMNT regulars in a Newcastle shirt.

He is so cool under pressure at rb, handles his defensive duties well and I think really shines playing the ball out of defense. Think he will have a great season for us.

Really clever touch to set up the second goal and got us in position for that with his run up the left side just before that too.

Fuck yeah! Super stoked to have a regular USA international at Newcastle. And for those who rightly think he's not the best out there, I would tell them at least it's not Jozy Altidore. I actually think he will be great in the championship and think he could definitely develop into a decent enough premier league side back in the future. He's a bit of a fucking idiot with his red cards but janmaat just as bad in that regard anyway. Darryl was always going to leave and this, for me, is a very exciting replacement. Really pumped for this one. Bring on Saturday!
