I haven’t seen him play, but apparently he’s well regarded at Betis.

Off the books. Moving on.

Fine, I’ll say what everyone’s thinking: this club deserves to go doon.
-
They’ve been desperately trying to shift Turner, but it seems Palace might’ve beaten us to it
-
Maybe the key is to create two threads for each potential signing.
-
In “recent” memory, we’ve bought Lascelles, Darlow, Vlachodimos and sold/loaned them Daryl Murphy, Colback, Wood, Shelvey, Anderson. Might be some I’m missing.
-
We seem to have a good rapport with Forest, and he’s been linked in the past, so it’s highly plausible we could pull this together in a day.

If Maresca gets that attack to click, like it did against Wolves at the weekend, it’s lethal. Their transfer dealings are wild, but it’s hard to believe there’s not some strategy at play. They also remain extremely effective at moving players on. Sold Hall, Hutchinson, and Moreira, with 10 league appearances between them, for close to £50m combined.

this is A+ trolling. Not even mad.

Just here to watch the self-flagellations at this point
-
It surely had nothing to do with him being deemed “not good enough.” We might not have liked his injury history, wage demands, or fit in our system. Liverpool can more easily afford to take the hit, financially and squad wise, if he’s a dud.

Cue the “we could’ve got Maupay for only 4m and we’re still starting Almiron/Murphy” seething
-
No one on the squad comes close to his ability to push forward with the ball.

Would be a good move for all parties.
-
Funniest thing that could happen would be a contract extension
-
DCL would be a shrewd addition for the right price. Proven that he can produce in this league, as long as he can stay healthy.
-
I think some have convinced themselves that literally anything would be an improvement on Almiron/Murphy, which is totally detached from reality.

You know what to do @54, you little scamp.

Too many people treat transfers as some kind of plug-and-play exercise. FIFA/FM on the brain. “Why pay so much for Guehi when we could have *insert player* for only half as much?” Because we want Guehi and don’t want that other player? Because we have concerns about that other player fitting in well to the squad, or adapting to Premier League football? Transfer histories are littered with promising young players who disappear like a fart in the wind after a season or two.

wonder if Beautiful Mario would be worth a shout. Another leftie mind.
