Everything else constant, there would not have been near the level of reaction had we lost to any other mid-table club (which we have done several times this season.) The massive reaction was not because we’ve had a mid season, it was because we lost the derby.

It’s hard to get too excited about future chances of success when the deck is stacked so heavily against us (and the rest of the non-cartel clubs). The hostility to genuine competition is what will eventually turn me off entirely.

I don’t understand those are who horny to sell him. One thing to get a fair price and move him on for financial reasons, another to gleefully whisk him away.

I am looking forward to having the likes of Bruno, Schar, Miley, and Tonali back after the international break, which will also be a nice long rest period for the squad.
