This is irrelevant but alright.

Yeah, bit of a no-brainer for him.

One of the greatest managers ever??.....absolute bullshit Wherever he has been hes been handed open chequebooks to buy whoever he wants to buy, he then goes on to destroy certain players morale and confidence. He never lasts more than 3 years at a club as he gets found out and cant deal with dressing rooms He never brings on youth or academy players as he cant work with them To say hes one of the greatest managers ever is absolute nonsense they guy is an absolute self obsessed egotistical cunt...he is done with top clubs and will never get a top job again areet

He’s an asshole but I still can’t help but admire the guy. One of the greatest managers ever. Hope he takes some time off, finds a bit of humility, and comes roaring back with some less-heralded European club.

We (i.e. Ashley and Co.) act like one.

What a difference not playing for Stoke makes.

As with last season, Rafa keeping us organized and not leaking goals is what will keep us up. Currently joint 7th-fewest goals allowed, finished last season in 6th.

McBride was good. As was Landon Donovan for the brief time he was here. Claudio Reyna’s time was cut short by injuries but he clearly had what it took to play in the PL. Same with Stu Holden. Geoff Cameron was a competent defender for Stoke for a few years. I’ll go to the grave defending Yedlin as a PL-quality fullback. There really haven’t been a ton of players to make the jump from MLS tbh Thing is they were ok the names being mentioned but not a massive success which when your paying the reported 24 - 30 million for is what would be required Only for Newcastle, if we are being honest, though. This club's competitors are spending 20+ million on reserves and young players. Leicester spent 75% of Newcastle's transfer record for a 25 year old that would exclusively be their reserve keeper. Also a good point, we’ve essentially priced ourselves out of the European market.

Maybe but I still say the money being quoted for him is just stupid for a player playing at that level. I do think you’re slightly undervaluing MLS. What standard would you say it is - maybe championship at best possibly lower? I believe the best MLS teams could compete in the Champo.

Should've taken the $35m for Lascelles when we had the chance.

Great save from Dubs, but that's a shit shot from Doherty, too.

from Tata Martino to Alan Pardew, fuck.

0-1 Liverpool. Salah off the rebound. Was offsides but oh well.

Remember when Blob was starting. Or Alnwick

Borini’s exactly the kind of player we shouldn’t be buying. He offers absolutely nothing that we don’t already have.
