I recall the media hassle over here when Villa came knocking, he turned them down due to his wife not wanting to move only a year after settling in with their kids or something IIRC. Also have a feeling OGS will go FM-tastic and buy players he know/knew from his time at Molde, i.e. Mats Møller Dæhli, Joshua Gatt and Magnus Wolff Eikrem are pretty much certainties. Has Gatt done anything of note recently? Seems like he's always injured.

I'm not shocked at all by it anymore. Par for the course really. We desperately need another striker. It's blatantly obvious. We need at least two strikers, preferably two with the other being some promising youngster. Just look at WBA's options: Anelka, Berahino, Long, Vydra, Anichebe and Gera. Not brilliant but they have options. We have Remy, Shola and the most out-of-form striker in the footballing world. Fucking time our club has some depth at the striker position. I'd have any of those first 5. Even Anichebe is an improvement over Shola. He at least knows how to hold the ball and throw his weight around a bit.

Watch now as Steven Thickasfuck Taylor strolls back into the XI at the expense of MYM. And then Williamson will suffer as a result. It's all coming together perfectly.

They're not. The 'intent' rule is a load of shit. When the ball is won first, and cleanly it should not be a foul, regardless of the tackle. Even if he had slid through, gotten ball first, and snapped the opponent's ankle?

No just someone who goes into a tackle with two feet in the air knowing they aren't going to be the one that gets hurt if they clash. Not sure why him not making contact means it can't be cowardly. If you watch it back he has his feet on the ball before the other guy is anywhere near, he clearly went for the ball and had a brain fart while doing it. Nothing malicious in it at all. This.

Pretty forgettable performance all around. Tiote and Williamson played well I thought, that's about it. On to City.
