I'm still not convinced AVB is a bad manager. He's clearly football smart in ways that Alan Pardew will never be. He was in way over his head this season and the fact that he was reportedly pointing the finger at everyone but himself did him no favors. Can't fault Spurs for sacking him considering how much they've spent and the run of poor shifts they've put in lately, even if the squad still needs time to gel. He'll land on his feet. Guy's still only 36 years old.

Shell of his former self last season. D.C. came out swinging, picked up Franklin and Bobby Boswell in the re-entry draft. Much needed help for the backline. Timbers reunited Zakuani with Porter. If he can get back to full health, he's a dangerous player. Though they shipped Andrew Jean-Baptiste to Chivas for the 2nd pick (also got Jorge Villafana in return). Chivas also picked up Rosales.
