Part of becoming a big league is fucking over the people that care in favor of the people with the most money.
Then why are the Bills still around?
I understand the politics behind it. NY/NJ has difficulty supporting one MLS team as it is, whereas Orlando already has the infrastructure and support in place. I'd be fine if they both ascended, taking us up to 21. But I have a feeling Orlando will be put on the back-burner, especially if they opt to continue with the Cosmos as well.
I agree with what you've said here, but I don't think Benitez's past with Liverpool would prevent him from going to Everton. It didn't prevent him from going to Chelsea (yes, I know Chelsea and Everton have different relationships to Liverpool). But I think it's more likely he won't go to Everton due to their lack of funding than anything.
Newcastle is absolutely his best choice if he wants to stay in the PL. Arguably the most to work with already and an owner who has shown a willingness to spend in the transfer market. Benitez coming here would depend on Ashley's willingness to pay him/give him the kind of autonomy he wants.
Bored of the media selling him ALREADY ffs, the game was yesterday.
It's not that people necessarily think they should, rather that they think they will. Because what else is new?
The top clubs poaching the best players off smaller clubs is pretty much a fact of the business these days.
Great, here come the jackals. A "storied club" I meant to say, before I'm castigated.
What does storied mean?
Celebrated, legendary, having a great history, etc.
His recovery speed is good enough to mask his weaknesses, and Naughton isn't a bad backup. You don't need a standout fullback to win the title if the rest of the team is playing well enough.
