  1. Any wrongdoing is on the club, doesn’t matter if owners change.
  2. Chelsea’s problems growing. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/25/marina-granovskaia-role-chelsea-alleged-financial-breaches-under-investigation-premier-league
  3. Or snide Adidas Newcastle tops!!
  4. Aye, what good is Howe if he can’t get us a new stadium built…….for the beginning of next season too.
  5. I’d heard that, is there any hard evidence to support the claims?
  6. Howay the CAT. https://www.catribunal.org.uk
  7. It was only a matter of time before some club got really pissed off.
  8. Half the PL is going to start next season with points deductions. What a load of shite just to keep the cartel happy.
  9. Leicester charged by PL for FFP breaches. https://x.com/bbcsport/status/1770878466528813256?s=46&t=RaLdCRuzyWBbm603Y3eUgg
  10. Arguably it’s anti competitive…………bit like FFP/FMV/PSR
  11. This Kelly? https://x.com/edit_kev/status/1770757687120138714?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  12. True….other clubs know they’ll be desperate, might be a bargain or two to be had!
  13. Not so sure about that, FIFA had to backtrack on capping agents fees after a ruling here in the UK and in a Court in Dortmund. All it would require is legal challenges against UEFA should they impose sanctions. https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1741102055014433221?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  14. A ruling here in the UK over the capping of agents fees forced FIFA and UEFA to backtrack and halt implementation of rules, could go the same way with FFP, who knows.
  15. And also that any money invested by an owner is legit.
  16. Probably……but then Labour would probably go down the same route, when the votes come in the HoC they’ll vote with the government.
  17. Absolutely…….they all know their stuff and have argued and won these cases before tribunals and Courts. I have no doubt that some of the issues we discuss on here will be tested legally. One of the comments that “football is special, but not as special as it thinks it is” kind of resonated especially now that it’s a multi billion pound industry. Competition Law should apply, after all the 20 PL clubs are all listed as businesses at Companies House.
  18. Cab ranking if you use legal aid aye…….but if you can afford the legal bills you can instruct the best lawyers money can buy, Man City as an example.
  19. Lengthy but worth a listen. https://www.blackstonechambers.com/podcasts/the-sports-law-podcast/the-sport-and-competition-law-podcast/
  20. I know cab rank rules apply in Criminal Law………..this would be competition law and CAT, owners of clubs can engage their own legal counsel surely?
  21. Forest statement is in line with his opinions on what FFP is about. https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1735644167521341793?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  22. I’d bet the cartel clubs will be meeting regularly now in light of intended legislation of an IR. They will hate the thought of a regulator, hopefully with teeth, interfering in their little cosy club.
