  1. Jesus man, this point has been done to death and is really idiotic. Except it's definitely not, because it will 100% be mentioned if we lose.
  2. Need to get the willpower to not watch this game and just check the scores come 5pm on Saturday and hopefully be pleasantly surprised, I just can't bare to watch us at the moment and I haven't missed a single game in 4 seasons.
  3. One of the saddest things about this whole Telegraph split stuff is that Pardew has a ready made excuse when we get battered at West Ham "we was distracted by all the nonesense from the media and that affected us today I felt"
  4. I still think they will have enough to get 4 points from Stoke and Southampton to be honest, think they will finish on 41, probably 4 points ahead of us. Would love to be wrong though and for them to lose every game and us pick up at least a point.
  5. Would agree with this, he's certainly had his awful games, but everyone seems to forget the times when he's turned in good performances, having said that his role if he is here next season provided we are still in premier league should be a lot more limited, he shouldn't be guaranteed starter every game and when he does play he should rarely be on the pitch for the full 90. There is a huge over reaction to how bad he actually is on here and for the most part he's been yet another victim of Pardew's decline as a manager.
  6. Imagine if we won our next two and Sunderland ended up going down. IMAGINE.
  7. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1623599-5-changes-newcastle-united-must-make-to-alan-pardews-starting-xi Bang on the money.
  8. In terms of performance. That period when we had Cisse on fire, Ba playing well and HBA on fire was the only period we played very well. That's 2 months. The rest of the time we where solid in defence and Ba/Taylor/Cabye knicked us goals. 80% of last season was 4-4-2. Tiote/Cabaye sitting deepish. Wingers. We managed a FIFTEEN clean sheets. Cisse/Ba managed 30 goals between em. Pardew's tried and failed to get us solid again whilst ignoring us going forward. You can't tell me, overall we played excellent football last season. Organised. Spirited. Worked hard, with our quality players showing up when it mattered. I always felt during most of last season that things could go horribly wrong at any moment, we weren't winning many games convincingly and were scraping by at times, obviously that extra confidence and momentum we got from doing this was enough to see us to that glorious 6 game patch at the end of the season where things really did seem to come together, and of course the arrival of Cisse and his wonder form. How much did Pardew really have to do with that period though? Is it a case of him being completely found out this season and is unable to create a plan B of sorts? I know he's the problem its plain to anyone but how exactly have things went so horribly wrong? I never expected top 6 this season but fully expected to be around the 8-10th spots, surely there has to be a bigger problem behind the scenes somewhere for us to be 17th in the league and relying on Wigan to fuck up their last 4 games :'(
  9. Not strictly on the topic of the West Ham game but does anyone actually believe Wigan won't take near enough maximum points from their last 4 games? Its nailed on in my opinion, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong recently...Villa's goal difference taking a big increase, our goal difference taking a -6 decrease.... its like this season is fucking cursed, honestly think even if we get another 3 points Wigan will win at least 3 of 4 and still send us down.
  10. http://www.faniq.com/images/blog/pointing-and-laughing.gif I would, because Haidara for me looks an exciting prospect but as of now isn't ready to be starting games in the premier league. But between Haidara and Gutierrez, James would still sit it out.
  11. Can take peoples points on the Williamson thing, and I myself don't particularly rate him myself as I've previously stated but in my opinion we need a fresh approach and I'm convinced Williamson can handle the aerial threat posed by West Ham better than Taylor can, the only time I see Taylor win the ball in the air is when there's no other fucker around him, and even then it goes straight to the nearest opposition player. One thing I don't understand is where this stuff about Colo is coming from? People saying hes the one who will come back into the team and tell the players what to do and when to attack/defend, hes never been that kind of player to be honest, he used to tend to lead by example, the calming influence is a good point because he is so assured in everything he does usually, but as far as him grabbing the players by the scruff of the neck and giving them a telling off or encouragement when needed is pure fabrication, I've never seen him do that on the pitch.
  12. How? Because he's a terrible defender. Never seen him have a game as bad as Yanga-Mbiwa and Taylor have in our last two home games, and was a mainstay in the side we finished 5th with last season, I don't particularly rate him, I just think at the moment he could do a job. The more I see of Taylor the less I rate him.
  13. My honest lineup would be: Elliot Simpson Williamson Coloccini Haidara Sissoko Perch Cabaye HBA Cisse Gouffran 4-3-3, just fucking go for it! Williamson dealt very well with Carroll last season against Liverpool and Taylor's performance's in the last few games have been shocking, get Colo back in for Yanga as he looks out of his depth at the moment.
  14. Get paid on friday, might put half of my wages on us going down, I'm honestly THAT certain.
  15. Been the best of January signings and has steadily improved the more games hes played, which is a miracle in itself with the way we're set up at the moment.
  16. Because Taylor backed off so much that if M'biwa didn't step in Coutinho could have had a free run at goal.
  17. When the camera panned over to him today and he looked utterly defeated I knew we wouldn't win another game this season, and would bet big money that we won't.
  18. I can't even believe what I've just read there. He did a canny job today then you thought? The players just made us look a bit of a mess with the way they played? That was our heaviest home defeat since 1925, 2 weeks ago we had by far the most humiliating result in the time I've been supporting the club, don't know about you. But nah, he's doing OK, the players just aren't organised enough or something. Are you taking the mick or what? Baffling isn't it
  19. Fucking sick of people saying "we might aswell keep him because we wont get any bettter" Its not OUR job to KNOW as fans who is good enough out there to replace Pardew but there IS better and we as a team DESERVE better. He needs to go and theres 100's of managers who will want the job, its up to us at board level, if they actually care about the club progressing to find him. Fans expectations have been lowered by the board so substantially that we should be happy with medicore managers and performances, citing the reason that we were in the championship a few seasons ago, who gives a FUCK, we have a great team on paper and we need a good manager who can bring good performances to take us forward.
  20. I'm absolutely furious with this lineup and even more furious with the fact we are all shitting ourselves because WIGAN are winning and that could mean we end up going down. I hate this twat and what hes done to us. He NEEDS to go.
  21. Wigan are going to stay up aren't they :'(
