To be fair like no matter who is putting the crosses in its our ability and plan to attack said crosses that is the biggest problem, though our delivery is also very poor.
-
He is average in a defensive capacity and well below average going forward, in summary he is shit.
-
Everything was better yesterday, even his general play was much improved. Made some good attempts and ended up scoring when given some decent deliveries, funny that.
-
Was pushed further forward later in the match and looked excellent, always looks better the higher up the pitch he is IMO, though he is very good playing deep also.
-
De Jong looked decent when playing with Remy, the link up and hold up play was good enough to overlook the lack of goals, thought he was utter garbage against Fulham and is inexplicably being over rated for his performance today, he offered nothing whatsoever apart from one decent move with Cisse, which was no more than a pass back to him. I would have Sissoko, Anita and Tiote in a midfield three, Cisse lone striker with HBA and Gouffran/Marv on either side of him.

Find fleeting thoughts coming into my head almost every game now which say I hope we battered. Hate myself for it but its the only way anything will ever change, Pardew wise. And even then I'm not confident. Hate what Ashley has done to this club, all the lads are at the game today and I chose to stay home. Unlike me.

I deeply hope they go down mind, fuck the derbies our manager bottles them anyway, the only pleasure we can get at their expensive would be to see them plummet.
-
They still have City, Spurs, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool to play
-
Going backwards at an alarming rate.
-
Well at least when Pards' is banned we will have someone cool, calm and collected on the touchline to run things for a while...
-
Bang on that. Great post.

If they lose the final and go down they will not have had a better season than us. I still fear that they will both win the final and stay up, but at the moment I would say the odds of that are fairly short. Yeah in that case definitely not, but should they manage to stay up and even be runners up one of the cup finals I would still consider that a better season than us. I think they will push on next season aswell if they do beat the drop, just hope they spunk their money on absolute dross like they always do. Edit: Yes I'm aware they are already guaranteed runners up

Don't really feel like laughing at Sunderland anymore, they've arguably had a better season than us truth be told, brought in a good manager, in a cup final with a possible other cup final on the way, two derby wins and starting to beat the teams around them, will stay up IMO.

Feelings about Pardew to one side (I fucking hate the useless nee top lipped cunt) I just cant see him getting rid of Pardew, the facts are that Ashley doesn't care about how well the club does, has no ambition and the aim seems to be just to float around mid table and stay away from trouble and basically we are safe, and in Pardew, Ashley has a front man who he knows will do anything he says, will kick up little fuss when good players are sold and who is probably just about a good enough manager to keep us in the premier league but not good enough to take us to the next level or win a cup. Suits him down to the ground, doesn't need to invest a penny aslong as we stay up and he re-coups his money every season. This wont be true.

Mate has just said this regarding Pardew: "Problem is though, without the board getting involved in first team affairs, pardew is a good manager and gets results. As soon as someone gets involved, ie the removal of cabaye, pardew and the players buckle under the pressure. Players in the team excel when the whole team excels. And the negative effect is that pardew and the players fail when the going gets tough. The players are heartless, pardew doesnt know what to do and it becomes a disaster" Interested to hear what you lot think of that. I personally feel that the sign of a good manager is being able to motivate and organise his team when the chips are down, not just when we are going through a good patch and players are in form, if he can't do both then how can he be a good manager?
