I'd find that crazy to accept, surely given our form and position come January that selling Ba and bringing in Debuchy will never help save our season from the threat of relegation. We must sign a quality centre back and striker else we risk going down again. Pardew can't be trusted to get us out of it without support and I don't trust our best XI to stay fit and do enough to get us the points as things are. This would make sense for owners who actually had the slightest clue of how to run a football club, and a manager who is able to put this across to the board firmly without being a puppet. Pards' puts a lot of emphasis on players returning from injury to ease the pressure on himself but also in a futile attempt to divert attention away from the fact that we probably wont bring anyone else in, and the fact that he reiterates this point so much would probably mean Ashley is willing to take a gamble on us getting out of trouble when our players come back, rather than heightening the chances and spending money on a few bodies through the door.

Lad who told me has got things right and things wrong in the past, perhaps I didn't phrase that too well.

Have heard from a 50/50 reliable source that the Debuchy transfer will be the only incoming transfer of the window, which makes sense that it wasn't completed until the Demba money was in the bank. And also that one more outgoing is expected. If true we're as good as down IMO, 1 in 2 out, great sense that.

'Young side. Didn't have enough. Hoped to get to 70 minutes and let Marveaux create magic but the situation got away. Perch injured, Shola sent off. Disruption put us out of kilt. Young players gave it all but shouldn't be representing us but that's where we're at. Sending off is a nothing challenge. Ref should have given him benefit of the doubt. Bigi and Anita were best players. Tav played better centre half. Rob Elliott was solid but we didn't have enough big players on the pitch against a Championship side at home. Marveaux is in good form. He changed things and gave us more presence and allowed Anita to play more. Expected them to sit back but it didn't happen. Disappointed we're out (apparently) and wishes he could field a stronger team. Fans brilliant. Supported throughout. We have to sustain our Premiership status (admitting he threw the game?) Colo, Cisse strains blah blah blah. Jonas, Cabaye and Taylor MAY be back next week' Dear me, get rid ASAP.

Happy clapping for a manager who's lost 10 out of the last 12. Utterly disgraceful and embarrassing performance today.

2-0 down at Bolton, us and them seem to be in competition with eachother to be as bad as humanly possible.

Hes coming along well but his defending is suspect in most games IMO, he is vastly over rated by some on here.
-
So the actual squad would be no bigger and we'd still not have signed a new CB? I'ts a no from me.
-
These are my exact thoughts, I don't really blame him for going to Chelsea to be honest, hes approaching the business end of his career and most likely wants to win something before he retires, and lets face it that chances of him doing that here are extremely unlikely. No animosity from me, we put the clause there in the first place it was inevitable.

Autoerotic Asphyxia What's Lee Ryder doing on the BBC site?

I think the reason I'm quite indifferent to the possibility of Ba leaving is due to the fact that I want to see this guy flourish again so, so much! I honestly think if we get him central again with the support from Cabaye and two competent wide players we will see more of what we saw last season from him, we still desperately need backup forwards though.

Gaël Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis

Already looks a better player than Tiote in most areas IMO, needs games and confidence and he will be great I have no doubts about that, I agree that he often makes questionable decisions on the ball but his actual passing range is great. -
92nd best footballer in the world I heard

Said he hates Newcastle and every fucker in it

Provided we hold onto Ben Arfa

I like Santon a lot just wish he could improve his decision making for that final ball, just either seems to run into a crowd of players or end up going backwards. Streets ahead of Simpson though.
-
Think he would be very useful to us at the moment, could use his pace to relieve pressure from the woeful defence and also the fact that he inadvertently holds the ball up very well whilst bottling beating his man or crossing, which sometimes works to our advantage.
-
Played his last game for us. Nailed on.
-
Had a very good second half because he seemed to go back to basics, just breaking up the play and laying off a player who is more capable of getting forward, that's his role and if he sticks to it we should see an improvement. First half he inexplicably wanted to take on every City player and failed every time.
-
I fully believe that hes kept himself out of bother but this good guy routine will get old for him really quickly and once hes bored with it he'll revert straight back to being a grade A wanker. PROVE ME WRONG GANGSTAH
-
He offered absolutely nothing last night. Going forward he is easily nudged off the ball or tackled, his passing is horrendous he looks like hes running through treacle when he makes a run with or without pressure from the opposing player. He does cover the fullback well however hes awful at actually making a tackle, we had 3 players around Kone at times and Gutierrez still felt the need to stand and watch him or not see him onto his weaker foot with Fergie/Santon making last gasp recoveries to win it back. Is he actually finished as a PL player or is it something else?

I think the way we pressured Wigan high up the pitch came more from the players looking more up for it than anything else, every single player in the first half pressed the ball brilliantly and I think Pardew deserves a lot of credit for seemingly getting them fired up for this one, probably using the good performance against Stoke as the platform to build on. We need these players to maintain this kind of effort going into Fulham and not become complacent as it would seem that we tend to do, at 2-0 when Wigan were starting to get back into a bit we were trying things that were unnecessary which caused us to lose possession and force mistakes. Honestly think we'll get a win or at least a convincing draw against Fulham if we put out a similar team and go into the game with the same attitude and fire in our bellies. The good performance from Anita was absolutely key to the win IMO.

This is the best fansite I've seen, in fact if there was a league of the 20 best fan sites we would win the league every season, and we would deserve it -

3-1 defeat written all over it. Not because Stoke are anywhere near a intimidating team just because we are playing so poorly at the moment that any team in the prem championship could tonk us. Just hope the players and manager step up and we pull something out of the bag especially with two winnable games up next.
