Think hes better than Yedlin in general but by christ he needs to come off today.

Anita getting absolutely rinsed none stop, would get Yedlin on to deal with the pace. Lascelles determined to see us stay in the champo, he seems incapable of getting the basics right at the moment. Ritchie best player by a mile, most things coming through him, Shelvey looks like hes already off on his holidays like he has for most of the season. Mitro really good at everything bar attacking crosses into the box, link up play is very decent. Perez none existent barring his deflected goal. Overall, we've looked poor but its all about the win tonight.

Anyone else really missing this guy?

Because I think he will get it right in the premier league if hes backed and hes by far the best we can hope for. All I'm saying is so far I think hes been underwhelming.

Underwhelming so far as NUFC manager in my opinion, expected us to be a team who were consistent and you sort of know what you're getting every time they step out onto the pitch, all we've had so far is major inconsistency across the season, some truly baffling tactical decisions and heads dropping all over the place when things get tough. A lot is to do with some of the dross still in the ranks and who we've brought in of course, but who had the summer to bring in the right players? The manager. Best we'll get and by no means would I want him gone (sick of having to write this disclaimer) But I don't think its over the top to say hes been disappointing in full results and performances wise. Think we'll just end up squeezing promotion, and just hope hes given some serious backing in the summer to kick us on, hopefully more suited again as a premier league manager. Ashley will be looking at this though and probably be thinking about giving control back to Carr (In Ashleys mind not mine)

Brighton have Norwich and Villa away in their last four games, if they lost 1 and drew 1 and we win all 4 of ours we would win the league, its possible but cant see us winning 4 in a row.

Anyone who spends money to watch us after that would deserve everything they got.

Good post that, echoes my concerns, in Ashleys mind he will have seen Hughton win us the championship with ease and wonder why Rafa couldn't do the same with a much bigger budget, would he have a point? Maybe a little, but the team we came down with last time was far better than our current one so you can see it both ways. Either way I can't see Rafa being here come kick off next season should we go up, it'll be job done from him and goodbye when he doesn't get what he wants to take us forward, we'll end up with another limited manager just happy to be in the job and whether we stay up or not would be anyones guess but if Rafa goes I won't give a flying fuck anyway.

Didn't seem like he wanted to, or wasn't being allowed to jump by Rafa in the first half, he was much more effective in the second when he started challenging (and winning) balls in the air. Good game overall, still don't want to give up on him, if Murphy had played like he did last night people would be wanking themselves right off.

Am I correct in thinking Hudds can win 4 out of 5 games and we would only need 4 points aslong as they lose 1? We're up man.

Thought it was an excellent full return for him, was all over the pitch and some of the tackles he made were great, words cannot describe how much better he is than Colback.

He was very poor, the only difference last night he did seem to try harder but every choice he made was the wrong one, still not sure what hes meant to be to be honest.

As every week goes by I'm more baffled by some of his decisions, we have the strongest team in the league on paper and we consistently look poor, and when we don't like last night we can't kill teams off and we go negative and concede. Seems to be more interested in complaining to the fourth official most of the time. Hope to god he makes better decisions for us as a premier league manager.

Think Ritchie has been better overall imho. Still have doubts over Shelvey in the premiership due to his fairly woeful contribution last time around. In terms of actual stats I'm sure he had a decent amount of assists actually from Jan till end of the season, but offered little in general play.

This is absolute hoop by the way. Can pick about 3-4 games where we've been really good but after that I would be struggling.

Think Shelvey has has just as many anonymous games as hes had great games tbh, when he was at his best earlier in the season he was tremendous mind, but hasn't reached those heights since the first game back from his ban against Birmingham in the cup.

A timely return to form from Mitrovic would be perfect like. Please remind me when he's actually been in form? Just before every time hes dropped usually.

Lets just play Mitro for the rest of the season and work on getting Gayle fit and in tip top shape for next seasons promotion push.

He just isn't good, and would be one of the first I would ship out if we go up along with Gouffran, Diame, Colback and Atsu.

We certainly aren't going to go on a 6 game losing run and Huddersfield also aren't going to win 7 in a row either, I reckon we could need as little as two wins to seal it in reality, still not too confident of winning it as champions but promotion is in the bag I feel. Finally at a 9.

Ship him back to Chelsea.
