Would be a hell of a signing with the added bonus that he won't want to miss out on another international tournament so will be keen to impress. Ideally would like him permanently, but a 6 month loan would go a long way to giving us the best possible chance of survival, coupled with a centre mid and a centre half of course.
  2. See where he does go. If he stays at Man United then I don't understand why he wouldn't want regular minutes even in a relegation battle on loan.
  3. These players are comfortable behind their barrier of people writing them off. It's unacceptable to be in this position, good coaching and mentality see us out of it. If Shelvey is dropping that deep out of instruction, then they're getting it horribly wrong. If he's doing it and it's not what they want, then they should be drilling it into him to get forward and offer support, or you drop him. This goes for ASM, Fraser, Wood, Lascelles, Schar, you tell them exactly what you expect regardless if it's what they want to do or not, it gets drilled into them. It's like we're trying to keep everybody happy in their own little comfort zones of being beyond criticism because everybody think they're shit anyway. Majority of this squad feel sorry for themselves and Ashley will get the blame and he should in some respects, but this squad shouldn't be in the bottom three.
  4. When he first came in and the training clips were released, I was encouraged by the focus on pass and move. We aren't carrying any kind of threat, our midfield is either stationery (Joelinton aside) or disjointed, there's no communication between players. We aren't covering space, we aren't offering anything different with our attack, it's like everyone goes into position to receive the ball and we never stray from it. I'm not expecting our front three to turn into Messi, Neymar and Suarez, but at least see what isn't working and change it. Cathcart looked shakey, why wasn't our focus changed to work ASM into positions to run at him, or have Wood drop deep and a midfielder run beyond him. Make their defenders think instead of our attack being like a real world example of Subbuteo?
  5. Think this will be the first time his position will start to be questioned by the new owners, and Staveley's too.
  6. Nothing new, just from what was posted on the previous page. Hadn't realised that YouTube video was from Monday.
  7. Who is this Sean Casey and why would he have anymore of a clue about what's going on than any other media reading fan?
  8. I wish him all the best. I don't have any strong feelings about this, but I do think he will do a job for us. If we think clubs are holding us to ransom on prices, that's likely to get a lot worse now.

Lille bit frustrating but we dust ourselves down and welcome Paul Dummett back into the fold, he's like a new signing.
  10. As soon as Eddie Howe said in his press conference that he'd been hammering it home all week that this game was must win, I was worried. These players cannot deal with expectation. They have no drive or standard that they strive to meet. Most are here because they were offered a contract and they knew the club would, at worst, yo-yo between the top two divisions. No disrespect intended to Cambridge whatsoever, but you'd be fuming about this result as a bottom half Championship side, never mind a team that is supposed to be fighting for their future.
  11. It's such a snide little question but Trippier's answer was near identical to Howe's IIRC. They're obviously fishing for something to cause a stink over but he may be better served asking the relevant government reps what they think.
  12. I feel like Alistair Magowan was the one who asked Eddie Howe what he felt about the Saudi ownership too.
  13. Big game player. Think he walks into most Premier League sides.
  14. I wonder what the real inside scoop on this is. I guess I'm going to have to head to Adam "Cable Guy" Pearsons Youtube to find out.
  15. Nowt to worry about, he'll be waiting on the restraining order against Adam P being signed off.
  16. I still remember that game. After the match, Aubameyang looked to the heavens at the onlooking Sir Bobby Robson and asked, "how did I do boss?" Bobby replied, "you'll do for me in 9 and a half years time, son."
  17. He's not going to go very far pissing people off, and perhaps some people who could help him won't be impressed by his interaction with Serena Taylor.
  18. Two crucial moments in the last two games and he's delivered. Wor number 9.
  19. While we're posting stats, it's worth mentioning that people who use 'speccy' as an insult have a 76% chance of stealing yo girl.
  20. Can guarantee the bloke is a Wraith channel member, thinks we should put the Great back into Great Britain, and if you want some, he'll give it ya.
  21. Kieron Dyer - Ability to dribble effectively from midfield puts him miles ahead of our centre mids. Can play behind a striker too, would provide that perfect link for midfield and attack. Woodgate - Stability in defence. Shearer - Hands felt tied to choose a striker with Wilson being the only one we have that's any good. Worked the flanks, strong up front and can score obviously.
  22. Worst player in training on the day has to spend the rest of the afternoon in Tan UK with Tindall.
  23. Quite telling that after Howe makes his lungbuster run to receive the ball, Shelvey stands behind a fucking mannequinn.
  24. Jonjo Shelvey and/or ASM.
