Seems that nobody actually knows what's going on with this, all seems to be guesswork ala his missus doesn't fancy the move up north.
I think we stand a good chance of getting him in, but it all depends on how strong Chelsea's interest is. Certainly don't see him moving until the back end of the window.
Abramovich promised him free reign to chose where he wants to go as a sign of respect for 12 years service. Seems a dumb move but I respect the gesture.
Players and their agents know what we're like. If you're a good player, why sign when the rest of the signings the same window probably won't be enough to make a decent squad?
Definitely think there's something in this but in his position I'd wait too to see if we sign some great players. Big commitment from him to sign this early when last summer our spending tailed off and we were left with just an ok squad.
People call him a one season wonder as though anyone could fluke what he's achieved. Kane is the real deal, hope he stays at Spurs and continues developing there.
New coaching staff, new manager, fresh ideas on the training ground but same stagnant, penny pinching ethos from the head office. It's positive news hampered by Ashley being very unlikely to change his ways.
Professional pride would see you doing all you could every day to learn West Ham inside and out, but this prat is off playing golf. Stinks of someone who's confident he'll get the gig no matter what.
Sadly I agree.
I'd keep him on as a player tbh, more than capable of being backup - would you rather have Jonas on the bench or Obertan/Gouf/Sammy?
I'd rather replace them but I guess we know they'll be the alternatives. We rarely seem to sell and replace a player because they're poor, just cling onto the shit like Obertan because they're worthless.
